On my first day here (yesterday), I watched a man on a computer sneeze directly into his hands and continue typing, I walked by a little girl who coughed twice loudly without covering her mouth, and I accidentally dropped my change so all the coins went rolling under the bookshelves. I literally got on my hands and knees to search and collect the change--they were quarters! Today I went back and let the librarian know that I hadn't scanned anything in years. I pretended I was dumb so she would walk me through it. It worked. Very seamless experience. Prior to finishing this review, I just received an email reply from the person I'm sending this info to. That email reads: "Thanks, Tyler (my pen name). All that's missing now is a copy of a voided check." Back to the library!

Plenty of books on stacks and you do need to be an Iredell County resident to get a library card and borrow materials. If they don't have the book you want, they may be able to transfer it from another branch in the county system. The librarians I interacted with were friendly. When I first pulled in, they had a pretty large free parking garage which was super helpful! They have numerous rooms for meeting spaces, lots of computers, and multiple info. desk areas where people are available to help you if you need it. They also have a lot of resources for audiobooks online. The only issue is some of them can take a while to become available...Overall, I am a little bit sad I am just now coming to visit this library! I feel like I have been missing out! You can use the printers with a library card for 10 free prints a day (they are $0.15 each so up to $1.50/day). I will say just like with any place you need to be aware of your surroundings! There were a couple of times I was making sure I kept an eye out, but luckily there are a lot of people around as well as a security guard that makes his rounds. This made me feel super safe! The restrooms were also relatively clean!

We arrived at 4 knowing it closed at 5 p.m. A friendly attendant greeted us at the gate and asked if we were new visitors which we were, and he informed us that the last tour was already progress and we could join in, or explore the grounds on our own. This is an experience everyone young and old would enjoy! The tour is a glimpse into Mr. Graham's life, his ministry, and his travels around the world. The gardens and grounds are beautiful, and there's a memorial garden on site. We're already planning to return to experience the full tour, which is said to be at least an hour and a half long and it's free. The staff was amazing and very knowledgeable.

The entrance is unassuming, with a guard post that directs you into the property. Parking is plenty and it's free just like the entrance to this historical location. I did reserve a time slot ahead and was asked for my bar code. I am pretty sure that you wouldn't get turned away if you did not reserve ahead. We started at the main home which was Billy Grahams childhood home that was moved twice before being set here. The inside is just the way his mother had it. You feel like you have taken a step back in time. You then walk to the library which has a huge cross carved out in front. Everyone who works there is so sweet and caring. They genuinely want you to feel loved and are ready to pray for or with you if you asked. From beginning to end every display, every detail and every picture is mesmerizing. It tells the life story of such and incredible man of God, his beautiful wife, family, friends and team that worked to make his vision a reality. If you had not yet been saved, you would definitely accept God into your life. He truly lived the way God wants us to and he preached love and u it's to all. He reminded everyone that we are ALL children of God. Whether you are a believer or not, no matter what religion you practice or believe in, you respected this honorable man. I would recommend visiting and paying respect at his & his wife's gravesite on the property. The grounds are very serene and tranquil, with lots of well manicured trees, plants and flowers. There is also a large store with something for everyone and a cafeteria where you can get a Billy Dog with the works and a shake. Stop by, make the journey, I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

It's so nice to see I'm not the only bookie out here lol. The parking was easy and organized. The book sale itself was packed but they had so many wonderful volunteers helping to steer the crowd, it was pretty seamless. They even had volunteers walking around asking if they could take your books and put them on a table to hold for you so you could keep shopping comfortably. it was great! The library has multiple stories and was very clean and quiet. I will absolutely be back soon!!
