I am an adult who is 40 years old. I know right from wrong. Principal Tennison might have shook every Lane students hands while he was in office, he neglected their needs as far as stress goes. There was no relief, no therapist offered whatsoever. Brian Tennison did not care. Plus, he took away all the parents privileges to volunteer at their Prom. I was devastated at that time. Even though, my youngest daughter was unhappy about me not going to her prom. I would have been very happy without dancing and prom dinner. I rather be in the same ballroom with both my daughters' prom instead of dinner and dancing. We survived without it. I do not know who changed the prom volunteer policy. Hence I am very sad at Brian Tennison. Dr. Christopher Dignam was a very very excellent principal. Dr. Dignam allowed parents to participate as prom volunteers. You rock Dr. Christopher Dignam!!!!!! You have kids from all over the Chicago land area and the school is really upgraded over the years. And the peope who seem to have negative comments obviously never went there. I think that most of the time, the gentrification plays a key role in TRYING to deminish the school, but guess what? Its not going anywere and has gained momentum. Roberto Clemente is a school that does well in the Community, but of course you have JERKS who just move in and think they can get the school out of this neighborhood. They immediately formed a safety net that I could not have even begun to picture in my own head. I received a very good education. My parents never had to pay for anything then, & we had excellent educators. When we moved out in 1978 to the far NW suburbs, it was because my dad wanted to get out before the house was worth less then what they paid for it in 1960. Cicero has really hit the skids.

The principal is always striving to bring new innovative practices into the curriculum. The clerks office so very responsive and helpful. There are multiple school-wide initiatives within the school to support the students and the staff. There are also an abundance of after school programs for students and parents participation. The school environment is also clean!! It has the newest technogy and fresh classroom materials.

We stayed in Skokie for about 7 years and Skokie Public Schools are absolutely exceptional in terms of quality education standards. My only concern with Skokie schools was that the teacher diversity is really non-existent despite them having a very diverse population of students. My kids never really had any negative experiences in Skokie though and they attended school from 4th to 10th grade.

There are significant behavioral issues among students that are not being effectively managed. The lack of classroom control creates constant disruptions and takes away from students who are there to learn. This directly impacts academic progress and the overall learning environment. More concerning, a fifth-grade teacher told an entire class that they would not amount to anything, would not get into college, and were not talented. When this was reported to both the school and the network, it was dismissed and brushed aside. This response--or lack thereof--raises serious concerns about accountability and whether issues are intentionally minimized to protect school ratings. Additionally, morning supervision at Wrightwood Park is inadequate. Staff members are frequently disengaged, chatting among themselves rather than actively supervising students, which raises safety concerns. Finally, during my daughter's transfer out of the school, her personal belongings were mishandled. We were given only one notebook and one pencil. Her glasses, pencil case, and multiple school supplies that we personally purchased were missing and never returned. Families deserve transparency, accountability, and a safe, supportive learning environment. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here.

The current principle has been forced to resign on allegations I shouldn't share. You may ask why none of this has been released to the press? The arch diocese is a non for profit which allows for different treatment. Every truth I just stated has been brushed under the rug. It's sad and angers myself as a parent.
