They replaced my deck in September 2024, and the experience was so positive that I didn't hesitate to hire them again in September 2025 for a full demo and rebuild of my 20-year-old wood front stoop and railing. The new Trex Transcend composite in Spiced Rum with Westbury railing looks absolutely beautiful and completely elevated the front of my home. Project manager Brad Bowers was exceptional to work with--knowledgeable, patient, always quick to respond, and incredibly accommodating in coordinating the project around my schedule. He made the entire process smooth and stress-free. HORRIBLE!!!! Worsted experience I have ever encountered. Overpriced, unprofessional and poor craftsmanship. Never stuck to a schedule, workers were rarely on site, lack of communication and overall a complete disaster from the beginning. I was left with less than half the job done after month and half of little progress. I have to now hire other contractors to finish the work they didn't do or did but wasn't completed but they are keeping all my money for a fourth of the jib that was done!!!! My husband was just sorting some of his things in the basement, and came across the window film that had fallen off the window. You know, the one that Iron River was supposed to install with *tempered* glass, and did not? One of the two windows they did that two, with both of the windows having the later-installed (by Iron River) film fail? Yeah. That window film. So he took a closer look at the film, and found out why it had failed - they did not peel the backing off it before installing. Super professional. Ugh. read more

Construction crew awesome. Everything else was horrible. Deck project manager didn't meet one commitment. Only good thing about the owner is she supports her employees. I don't often leave reviews, but when I experience high quality service and I'm seriously pleased with a company, I feel compelled to share. I bid out my basement build with several different companies including my home builder--and Alex with Iron River--was the only estimator that followed up with me to answer questions. That was my first indication of good customer service. At every step, he demonstrated excellent project management of his job: clear communication of schedule and process so I understood what to expect every day/week; great management of my expectations so I didn't misunderstand what was happening or get disappointed with the build process; easy and immediate access to him with all my random questions. Every call and email was answered immediately. It was a big project for us so Alex was wonderful about helping us make informed decisions for every little detail and worked closely with me to ensure that I could visualize the end result. I also appreciated so much that he and his team respected my family's space and daily schedule. His team was all very personable and skilled in getting the work done. Our family is thrilled with how the basement has been built and we couldn't be more pleased with the experience that Alex provided. Randy came to go over the deck and window trim projects. He said he'd have a proposal to us in 2 days. We got one two weeks later after repeated calls to him, and it was wrong, not describing our project,and was $10,000 more than the actual deck project requested . The corrected bid also had things on it that we didn't ask for regarding the window trim. He kept trying to get us to do more, spend more. We needed window trim installed, and were going to buy our own trim. He put trim in their bid, said they would be supplying the trim, and we would have to pay him for it, but would not provide a sample of the trim for us to see. Going back and forth and waiting for calls to be returned, we are nowhere a month out. He wanted 50% down today. We told him we need to see a sample of the trim. So, he canceled the bid and said our $9,000 job was too small for them. We wasted a month. It's now the middle of June, and I have to start over looking for a contractor. Everyone is busy and scheduling out two months. I will be lucky to get my projects done before autumn hits. read more
