I found Dr. Stevens here on Yelp after coming to my senses and leaving the Good Feet store. I had…read morea lot of pain in my left foot and assumed it was plantar fasciitis. Dr. Stevens listened to my concerns and had a look at my foot, then he had it x-rayed. It turns out I had a heel spur (see my review of the Good Feet Store, this is why it is so important to see a doctor for medical issues). Dr. Stevens gave me 3 options moving forward to treat the heel spur as well as immediate relief in the way of an air sock and arch supports (cost me less than $40). Later I opted for EPAT treatment to take care of the heel spur, the treatment wasn't comfortable but it worked and I am pain free and so happy. Dr. Stevens staff also fitted me for custom arch supports which had me back to walking for miles and enjoying it again. A short time later Dr. Stevens took care of my right ankle too. After my foot was treated I asked about my ankle as I was falling and spraining it a lot. Dr. Stevens examined it and showed me by comparison between both ankles that the ligament was really loose and suggested a procedure to correct it. I scheduled the surgery and went in to St. Francis outpatient center, Dr. Stevens performed a Brostrom procedure to reattach the ligament and enable me to walk on uneven ground without injury. In summary (I try to keep reviews concise) I had a wonderful experience at Indy South Foot and Ankle. I have been in often I found the office clean and inviting. Also, everyone there was kind, professional and just plain friendly. Scheduling was always simple and I never had to wait long to be seen. Finally, Dr. Stevens was phenomenal in all aspects of my care. He explained why I was having problems, gave me options, and displayed a kind and patient demeanor (I was pretty whiny during the EPAT treatments... I don't think most people have problems with this). I would recommend Indy South Foot Ankle to my mother and everyone.

First let me say, I was so scared to go into this appointment. Second I hate having my feet…read moretouched. But the staff at Indy South Foot and Ankle are beyond amazing. From the moment you check in to you check out, everyone is so caring, and understanding. The friendliness and vibe in this office is nothing but positive energy. Dr. Runkle was beyond understanding, he explained everything to me, and gave me my opinions, he explained that no matter if I had the procedure done that day or in a month it was need to be done. When I expressed concern about getting shots in my toes he reassured me I wouldn't feel anything, and I didnt. The procedure took about 10 minutes and I was out the door. I went in the appointment being all nervous and I didnt have a thing to worry about. I would most definitely recommend this office to anyone and everyone. Thanks for the fabulous care Dr. Runkle and staff.

When Leibovitz was at 10th and Arlington, I was referred to him for bunion surgery…read more We met and discussed the discomfort I was having. He suggested surgery and I asked outright is this something you would be able to do. I advised I was referred by a Dr I trusted and wanted to be sure he could straighten out my big toe and reduce a bunion. Leibovitz assured me that this was something he could do and we set the date I had the surgery and was told it went fine. The thing is my toe was not healing. My foot was not displayed and as a last resort I used a medical magnet to stimulate healing I was on crutches most of the 10-12 weeks it took to heal. Finally it was time to unveil my new foot. Leibovitz called in his office staff for the unveil. (I found this odd but thought maybe they were excited for me) What a shock, he cut the center of my toe off by about an inch or inch and 1/2. I remember saying ,"What happened to my toe?" He never told me or my husband that he had made such a grave surgical error It was only when the bandages were removed we found out His reply was,"When I got in there I had to do it". "Why am I just now finding out?", I asked He opened Hymn-haw around. Off I went with a foot I really hoped was healed and a toe that makes the nail technician say," What happen you toe?" Time has passed and my foot health, due to his bad handling, has gotten worst. My big toe has no bone or cartilage and the next toe has grown to accommodate balance. I am in pain constantly, Can't buy shoes and now have a flat foot. I think my foot could have been bound and I would walk better I wrote him about the arthritis and other discomfort he caused and he wrote some patronizing reply about why didn't I come back. Are you kidding he couldn't fix my foot the first time let alone after he brutalized my foot. Just be careful anything over a nail trim beware!

Yes, it seems like the simplest option in my case was to do nothing at all. Meanwhile I am paying…read moreout of pocket for co-pays, X-rays. And no help for what I was experiencing. Two visits and I'm only told to wear shoes with tight heels. You are a poor excuse for a health care provider.
