The Athletic Director was amazing from our first game to the last. Regardless of prior internal issues, South Shore has many resources to provide to the it's students and the community.

This is a safe school. However the education at this school is horrible. The teachers cannot teach…read morevery well. This school does not offer any foreign language classes unlike many other elementary/junior high schools. It also doesn't prepare you for high school work. There aren't any science labs, art rooms, or music/band rooms, many of the special subject classes such as art and music took place in the auditorium/gym. There also isn't a cafeteria, lunch is held in the gym/auditorium.

One of the reasons we decided on this school was because of the close proximity to our address. Secondly, the graduation rate was decent and it "offered" tutorial support. My only issue with the school is the lack of consistency in providing tutorial support to the student body. I am a person who is big on words. For example, if you say that you are going to do something, then DO IT. I feel that we were lured into a school that misleadingly deceived us into believing that additional academic support would be provided for the students all year round. I personally was drawn to it because I know what my son needed. The principal and the staff are exceptional people who I have genuine love for. They always show my son and I much love and respect. I've served on the Parent Association for three years and have volunteered my time and service to the school. I love this school.

This school is nice! The teachers are encouraging with bright views on the students future and I'm…read moreproud. I heard that 80% graduated on time and higher in 20 percent than the citywide average. This is one of the high performing schools.
