I had previously hired a contractor that was supposed to be doing the roof, gutters, window wraps, air conditoner(s) and the basement window wells. This contractor did not do what he was supposed to do, he did the roof, took off the gutters and then. . .leaving me with no gutters and a wet basement because of it. In getting estimates for the gutters I had several well named contractors in the area and the prices were more than the roofing job. I then ran across The Brothers add on Facebook, and filled out their form for an estimate. When I was called to set up the appointment I advised them to not even waste theirs's or my time if the estimates was going to be $8-10K. I was told unless I had an unusually large house the estimate will be nowhere that large. Danny came out that evening, he did some measurements and delivered an estimate that was exponentially less than the others I had received before. I asked about the gutter guards, and he added those to the estimate as well. The total was still a quarter less than other estimates. I immediately wrote a deposit check. The scheduling was done, but had to be postponed due to supplies not coming in on time. The second reschedule was due to being behind on other jobs due to the materials not coming in, which was not a problem. They came out late morning, and the entire job was very professionally done by the end of the work day. In fact they were driving away as I turned the corner coming home from work. The gutters look very good, and the best part, the water is now channeled away from the house rather than running down the walls, so my basement is dry. I can't say enough in praises for the value, the professionalism, and the speed in which everything was done. When You have spent now almost a year dealing with insurance, and contractors (some less than honest) It is so refreshing that The Brothers are someone that can be trusted.

I would not choose to do business with Rhoden Roofing again. In my experience, the process required…read moresigning numerous fine-print authorizations on the salesperson's laptop that effectively gave the contractor control over insurance payments and communications with my insurance company. I was repeatedly told not to worry because they would "take care of everything" and that my only responsibility would be paying the deductible. Several months later, after the company had already collected substantially more from the insurance carrier than I believed the work justified, I received what was described as a "final invoice." The document still did not include an itemized breakdown of charges, only a total amount due, and it included charges for work that I do not believe was completed. In addition Rhoden charges a 2.9% fee for using a debit card. Since Federal law makes it illegal to charge a processing fee for debit card transactions (Durbin Amendment to the Dodd-Frank Act), Rhoden plays the word game to try to grab another dollar by calling the fee a "convenience fee". Hiring Rhoden Roofing was a decision I regret. Based on my experience, I strongly encourage homeowners dealing with storm damage or insurance claims to be extremely cautious about assigning insurance payments or claim authority to a contractor they do not know and fully trust. I also strongly recommend obtaining multiple detailed, itemized estimates from reputable roofing companies before signing any agreements or authorizations.

For someone to walk into another's home and make multiple demeaning remarks as to whether she has control over her own finances when she simply wanted to consult her adult children for insight is despicable. She is a sweet, passive woman who did not deserve this kind of treatment. All this and I have not mentioned his aggressive "now or never" sales tactics targeted at a vulnerable population.
