After a busy day of Christmas markets and museums and more, I just wanted something cheap and easy. Kebab fit the bill. The dude behind the counter spoke enough English for me to order a kebab with everything, payment was handed over, and I unwrapped it back in my hotel room. Currently, Isbilir is the best spot for doner kebap in Basel. I like the crunchiness of their pita bread. I enjoy the slightly bitter flavor provided by their cabbage. It's the perfect riposte against their sauce. The meat is flavorful. Overall, it's worth checking out. read more
