My wedding was at the Esperanza Auberge Resort, and being from San Francisco, planning a destination was quite daunting. I'm even an event planner, so I knew that there were going to be a lot of balls in the air while planning this ceremony, but little did I know how many there were going to be! With that said, Illeana and Jessica help put me at ease on multiple occasions and help troubleshoot a lot of last minute dilemmas I wouldn't have been able to solve on my own. What resulted was the most beautiful wedding any of my relatives and friends had ever seen! From florals to wedding singer, Illeana had an answer for everything and it's thanks to Illeana and Jessica I was able to find the best vendors in Cabo within my budget. Romantic Cabo Weddings created an unforgettable event for everyone who attended and I cannot recommend them enough! 11 out of 10 hands down!

After dispelling that notion, we began our online hunt for planners. We were immediately bombarded with emails and calls. One after the other kept offering us pre-planned, pre-priced, typical weddings at resorts which we were not inclined to have as our vacation destination, much less our wedding destination! We were disheartened- surely someone understood our style? Then along came Illeana. Once you meet her, her warmth and kindness radiate from her face and her being. She genuinely cares, and has a beautiful heart. We began planning our wedding right when COVID hit, so none of us knew the challenges or timelines ahead of us. Illeana handled everything with grace and ease. She gave us updates on Cabo, and was always timely with our questions. Related to questions, pretty sure we had a lot! She was always responsive and quick to communicate at every turn. We had our vision of perfection, which she turned into reality. She has a deep roster of local vendors for everything you need. And when you don't know what you need, or who is best, she has an innate kind way to tell you who would be perfect. Illeana has class, taste, and elegance which will be showcased at your wedding! Illeana, thank you so much, from the bottom of our hearts! We are forever grateful for helping us have our dream wedding and our "happily ever after"! Much love, Gabe and Neleigh

The attention to detail for the daily room cleanings & nightly turndowns are the best we've seen. Never have to worry about having towels, water, drinks, snacks, etc. The staff "for the most part", are all very nice and make your visit very welcoming. The only person who we weren't too thrilled with is the Woman who works the omelet grill in the morning, she wasn't a very nice person but there's always 1 in the bunch. Our concierge Eric was always attentive and available for anything we needed. The pools are gorgeous and we loved every min in them. Things we wish we would've known. For this being a family friendly hotel, 6 out of the 9 daily activities they put together are for 18+, I think they feel the teen room is the reason they can do this, but when your 15 year old doesn't want to hang in a teen room, they should offer family activities to help keep the families together during their stays. We also wish we knew the pools close at 8pm, there's not to much to do after 8 and we found ourselves stuck in the room most evenings. Now the not so good: While we were at the pool trying to enjoy our last day, we're approached while we're eating lunch by someone all dressed up trying to sell is a min 35 day stay that can be used over 10 years for $64,000 USD! That bothered me although they did give us a $300 voucher for the gift shop "VERY expensive in there", just wish the timing on their part was better... Lucca, Velas 10 & Sen Lin have the best food here, but unfortunately for us, that was it. The breakfast & Lunch buffet from Azul was a 2 out of 10 for us, lots of choices but not very appealing and the food was very bland. Fridas food was the same, and room service food was never good. We ate the COSINA DE AUTOR for the 8 course meal, and 2 of us got sick on one of the plates, "possibly the tartar", was a long night for us and only 2 of the 8 dishes didn't make us want to spit them out. Because of how well they treat you and how beautiful and Zen feeling this property is, its a place we would most likely return to, but we would be very prescriptive on our food choices & we would also hope for a little cheaper rate, $1,700+ for their cheapest room for 3 of us, was a steep compared to other all inclusive with the same quality food, especially when you can't use the beach and there's no night life after 8pm for families.

I spoke to him and told him he should be nicer. He was drunk and decided to hit on me, which is insane. I kept saying, no, you need to be nicer to your girlfriend. He kept pushing me. He decided he wouldn't take no for an answer after I told him I didn't want to be hit on or talk to him. He became increasingly aggressive. I tried to keep de-escalating. He told me that we WOULD get to know each other. He pushed his phone to me with his Instagram. It was full of pictures of naked women. I went to the host desk. I smiled, so I wouldn't upset him further. I kept smiling and told them I needed him to go away. He came up behind me. They called hotel security, who quickly came over. The man (Ryan) left with his bottle of wine. Security escorted me to my room. I saw him waving from the balcony of a room above mine, very near. I asked to be moved. I was frightened. They changed my room, but I did not sleep the entire night. The next morning, I spoke to the manager, Francisco Escuer. He told me: "I watched the tape, you were talking to the man and smiling. You smiled at the host stand. Why were you smiling if you were asking for help to get away from that guy?" I said, "Because he was coming after me, and that's what women do, so we don't aggravate men we know are dangerous." He said, "Well, his girlfriend didn't report anything." Again, I said: "Women don't report abusers because they are not believed, just like you are not believing me." Escuer also screamed at me and accused me of recording our conversation. He made physical gestures toward me during this. I told him I needed the tape, his information and the hotel's information. He refused to give me anything and yelled at me. I had to check out, pay for that stay, and another hotel. Escuer/the hotel are not safe for women.

We heard nothing but raving reviews from our guests about the rooms and cleanliness of the entire resort. I already had family and friends asking when we can come back for our anniversaries lol. Now for our wedding: The planning through Casa Dorada's wedding coordinator, Katherine Anaya, was seamless and so easy. I can't express enough how amazing she was to handle everything for my husband and I since we are from California. The location of the resort is perfectly on the beach with nearby bars and restaurants. Yes you can hear the music from the bars but it stops at 9:30/10pm. Didn't hear any complaints from any of ours guests (ages 25-83). The wedding ceremony and reception was at the 12 Tribes Terrace and they really transformed the atmosphere to be exactly how I envisioned the wedding! If you're hesitant about doing a destination wedding in Cabo, I researched about 20 resorts and landed on Casa Dorada because of the value, location and how beautiful the resort looks. We are so happy with how our wedding came out and how amazing the staff is at this resort. We want to highlight our amazing wedding planner (through the resort) Katherine Anaya who handled everything for us and made sure the whole wedding experience was stress free and seamless for us. Her first impression through email with me truly made me feel her hospitality and kindness. Meeting her in person for our pre-wedding trip January 2026 just solidified that we have an amazing person helping create our wedding vision and bring it to life! She even went as far as having a custom wedding slideshow playing in our hotel room that had our pictures from our wedding website. The attention to detail Katherine gives is beyond what I could've ever imagined from anyone! Another person I want to mention was Rene at the 12 Tribes Restaurant. We met him during our pre-wedding trip and he handled everything with ease for our signature His/Her drinks and our food tasting samples. Right away his great hospitality and kind spirit could immediately be seen and felt. For our wedding in April 2026, Rene remembered us and gave nothing short of excellent service during our entire wedding week when we saw him or ate at the 12 Tribes restaurant. Rene was actually a server during our wedding and was making sure everything was going smoothly and made sure we felt at home. Two more people who are worth mentioning: Heriberto at the swim-up bar and Michele at the B Bar. Two awesome people who love what they do. They remembered us each time we came back to them. They remembered our drink orders and truly made us feel like family there. If you're thinking about a wedding at Casa Dorada, my advice to you is do it and you won't regret it. It truly felt like our home away from home. Muchas gracias Casa Dorada!!! We will definitely be back! This isn't goodbye, but see you soon!!

I'm going to preface this review with the fact that I'm not a fan of Italian food. Weird, I know,…read moreeveryone tells me that. My diet also is 99.9% tacos when I'm in Cabo. That said, my fiance is of Italian origins and so when we were highly recommended Romeo y Julieta by frequent visitors of Cabo, we decided to give it a try. This restaurant is nuzzled in between a coffee shop and other businesses, but has a romantic ambience. The parking lot is small and shared with the other businesses, so I'd recommend walking or taking an Uber. We were promptly seated after checking in with the hostess outside. The interior carried the romantic, cozy vibes throughout. There was live music the night we were there, which was nice. Our server greeted us and asked if we wanted bottle water, which of course we did since we don't want tap water. I assumed the shared small bottle of water would be complimentary or at least very cheap (you can get extremely cheap bottled water everywhere), so we were shocked when our bill arrived at they charged us $5 for the one tiny bottle of basic water. I could see if it was sparkling, but not standard water. The plus was the complimentary bread, which was a delicious assortment served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We placed our order of pollo parmigiana and gnocchi di ricotta. My fiance had the parmigiana and really enjoyed it. I had the gnocchi and it had good flavor, the spinach was a nice offset to the rich sauce. The portion for me was fine as I don't eat much, but if my fiance would have ordered the gnocchi he would have left very hungry still. Overall it was a good dinner and a nice ambiance. However, we both agreed we wouldn't return as the other food in Cabo is much better, in our opinion.

We ordered the salad, small pizza for the baby, chicken parm and the veal. The veal was on the salty side and I didn't like it as much. I only went once and probably would not visit again. They had live music and the guitarist played wonderfully. The music was the highlight of our dinner. Definitely try at least once for the atmosphere and their caesar salad. Maybe if we ordered other dishes it would have been a different experience for us.
