We attended the wedding of our son's best friend today at this chapel. What a beautiful space! The…read morebride and groom are both architects and this was the perfect place for them to be married. The pews are not very long so it doesn't seat a large wedding without using the pews in the side wings. All if the bridal party got ready at the hotel so I'm not sure about the additional rooms available for the bride's group to hang out. All the groomsmen were in the narthex when we arrived.

The venue is open, spacious. Welcoming, inviting and embraced the hope of a new day each morning the sunlight streams in the windows. The folks that operate the chapel are friendly and welcoming. The grounds and the chapel are very well cared for and well maintained. This is a great spot hidden in the middle of Fort Worth - it sits up high and yet you could easily miss it because it is so well placed. I went to a church recently that was started here from Africa oh my how inviting they all were. most of all the woman came up to hug me I cried. more churches need to figure out who is new and start making them feel more welcome.

The church body is made up of families and couples of all ages and backgrounds. Don't be put off by the space between people in the pews. The church has had its ups and downs in the past and is back to growing. The current website is antiquated but in the process of being rebuilt. The worship team is amazing and talented. Great little church with involved parishioners…read more I did not attend a service, but this was the gathering location of the Garden of Eden Neighborhood Association 5K Fun Run & 1 Mile Walk. It was a great event. Most surprising is the history of the area. There is a bit of info here http://fortworthtexas.gov/planninganddevelopment/historic-preservation/garden-of-eden/ , but I think the real info will be in the book "The Garden of Eden : the story of a freedman's community in Texas" by Drew Sanders. FYI, if you are interested, the Fort Worth library has a copy, and is in the MetrOPAC system. So I just wanted to add a few words, and pictures, and say thanks for a great event. Bottom line: I finished 2nd in my age group!

Sunday funday arrived and I discovered that Lights Church had a new location on the Westside! You…read moreknow what that means? Yup, you guessed it, I went to do a drive by but, it didn't turn out to be just a drive by, it turned out to be a yelp review! Hey, you know, how I do It! There were many parking spaces available but, the pavement is pretty old. You can park right next to the building or further away. There's a nice little path to walk up too and there's always someone there to open the door for you. They have a few greeters as soon as you walk in and before you enter the worship center. The church has a great breakfast bar. They have coffee, hot chocolate, donuts and bite sized cinnamon roles. They also have tables and chairs to sit down and eat your breakfast and get to know others who attend the church. They also, have cute decorations through out the church. The worship center was small and intimate. The carpet was new and so were the chairs.They also have good stage lighting. Worship band was good and performed Christian songs such as, Glorious Day, What a Beautiful Name, Holy Spirit and Cornerstone. The sermon was great. Jason M. preached on The Four principles of God's Kingdom. He was able to highlight The main points and is totally aware about his timing. The pastor has a great sense of humor, is very humble, relatable and a great story teller! His wife was also ready to take the stage and preach to the woman! She was very well spoken! So, if you are ever on the Westside? You should definitely try Lights Church. The hospitality, worship music and the good preaching are just a few perks of the Church! So, see you Sunday?
