I called several massage therapists on Nantucket---and Melody, the lead therapist for Nantucket Holistic Health this summer. Melody came out to our friend's house 15" from town---and made two ladies incredibly relaxed and happy with 90" deep tissue massages ($220/piece and she accepted a credit card). She knew the muscle groups and how they would interact around an injury and she was strong enough to do some real good in releasing muscle tension and working out knots and areas of contraction. The ladies were relaxed, more pain free and happy when she was done. Strongly recommend---It may be useful to note that she's thinking of leaving Nantucket by the fall to go back "off island"---in any case, we hope she returns by the time of our next trip!

I double booked my appointment with my doctor's appointment. Yes, it was my fault, however when I tried to text a modification of time or day I was summarily shut down and told it's another 200.fee- in addition to the 150 fee I had paid for a consultation. I was within the 48 hour period of time to alter my appointment. 350.00 later with no treatment and a conversation that was completely unyielding of an any compromise later, I walked away from the salon without a compromise. It was harsh. But nothing would persuade this technician from charging me the additional 200. for my clumsiness. This is not the same person I had do my facial before. It feels bad, its callous and mercenary that she took 350. on my stored credit card against my wishes telling me she has the right to do so while I protested. I understand the need for small businesses to protect themselves from cancellations, I'm the general manager of a local hotel, but there are times when we listen to people and we apply a more nuanced view of the situation. I do not care for the new attitude of this spa. I will recommend people choose other salons in town.

The thought of visiting a traditional 'spa' typically is not very appealing to me, Brooke offers the same relaxing and serene experience without all the spa extravaganza; a perfect combination. She set up a perfectly quaint little studio in an easily accessible location and scheduling appointments is a breeze via her website. During my stay, I met with her over the course of 3 sessions and there was an ongoing dialogue to determine what needed working on. As someone who relies on massage therapy I can honestly say that Brooke is one of the most talented therapists I have met. Highly recommended!

The setting was great, room is super comfy and massage table was like a cloud. We discussed in detail what I wanted to have worked on, I had shoulder surgery a few weeks ago so she was careful but also really relaxed the muscles and I walked out feeling like a new person.
