We hired Peter in July 20 2017 to cut blackberry bushes and spray them with Round up in Central Nanaimo area, BC.
The cutting part of the job was done in a week, with a moderate accomplishment. We spend a few more hours cutting what was left with a machete. Also, the cut bushes were left on the property. Peter sent us an invoice for the whole scope of work and 2 days later demanded the payment, and we paid it in full.
The spraying part of the job was supposed to follow the cutting in 2 weeks, but after our repetitive reminders and either ignoring our emails or giving endless promises (7 of them), Peter spayed the area on November 22, almost 4 months later, under a pouring rain, which makes the job useless. When we confronted him he promised to repeat the job in the spring, and after 14(!) additional emails back and forth (over a 5 months period starting in April 2018) and at least 5 promises to come "next week" and finalize the job, he just disappeared. The property is tenanted, and every time Peter promised to come we needed to contact tenants to notify them.
He is claiming his business's "Reliability, attention to detail & good customer service ". These 3 things are the ones that are missing in his service.
There was no reliability, no honesty on Peter's side, just poor, disrespectful and very sarcastic customer service.
