Absolutely the worst company I've ever dealt with. I've used Island Wide Appliance multiple times, but this last experience was beyond unacceptable. I paid $2,067.34 (wildly overpriced) to repair my wine fridge, with a $500 deposit on April 2nd. The return was scheduled for April 23rd--but due to a one-day delay in Zelle (because of a technical issue), they canceled the delivery and hit me with a $500 "cancellation fee" that was NEVER disclosed anywhere. If I had known that, I would have paid another way immediately. They've been rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional ever since. It's now May 27th, I've long since paid the remaining balance, and they're still telling me no one can return my fridge for another week. This company is dishonest, disorganized, and completely lacking in basic customer service. Do yourself a favor and stay far away. read more

DON'T. JUST DON'T. All the disastrous negative reviews are actually true. They failed to properly diagnosed a problem with our appliance multiple times. They were unable/unwilling to schedule follow-up service within a reasonable amount of time, I presume because they are such a tiny outfit and have apparently overburdened themselves. They left us utterly high and dry in our hour of need. Here we are, a holiday weekend on the horizon, still waiting for service after months of back and forth. They don't keep their promises and they don't return calls. They seemed so nice at first, but in the end they just don't give a sh*t. Find someone else. Seriously- FIND SOMEONE ELSE. ANYONE ELSE!!!!! THE WORST! They misdiagnosed my Viking refrigerator multiple times costing me nearly $2,000 and had the nerve to send me an estimate for another $2,000. They constantly charge for service calls that are caused by their misdiagnosis. The techs are not bright nor are they helpful. They send different techs every time and one doesn't speak to the other. If I could give less than one star, I would. I was asking to speak with the service manager about a quote because I had questions before committing to $1000 repair..... I mean??!! The office manager was short with me and told me to take my business elsewhere..... I laughed, thinking she was joking. But no, she tripled down three times and told me never to call again. As they are the only Viking repair shops around, I will be getting other appliances. Terrible. They're one of these companies that sends out technicians who only want to do the same basic things -- change filters, update software, etc -- rather than actually dealing with the underlying problem. Everything seems to take three or four visits, and often still goes unfixed. We used them years ago for a washing machine, and forgot how terrible they were when we accidentally called them again for a refrigerator, which after $2,000 of service calls still has the same original problem. The service received from Island Wide Appliance was speedy and courteous The issue was handled and taken care of on the first visit. I have been using their service for many years. Hopefully, I will be able to use my Thermador oven and stovetop for many more years. read more

Consumers beware before calling or using Island Wide Appliances- tech came to my HOME 3/36 and damaged our brand NEW cabinet. He was asked to stop pulling on our oven x 2. We asked him to leave took pictures and called office immediately. 3/27 they sent a manager who attempted to bully us. We showed pictures of our new kitchen and showed him pictures that were time stamped showing absolutely NO DAMAGE . Upon leaving a negative google review they immediately responded with one lie after another. It is clear that they have no idea how to deal with consumers. The owner Eric is unreachable I was told over and over. We asked the tech why would he think he could move a 400 pound double wall oven alone - his response believe it or not was so shocking " the owner will not send 2 people for this job he is too cheap" Imagine saying that about your boss !!! We refused to deal with them and it appears that offended them. I have the right to use another company especially when you feel bullied . Consumers should be allowed to voice their concerns without worrying about offending a company that you no longer trust. Shout out to the tech who came to our house 3/24 PETER . Eric, who owns the company, is very responsive as are his charming office team--maureen, Agnes, Maya and Kristen. They are familiar with all the top brands and are good for their word on scheduling, warranty work. It says a lot that brands like Bosch and Sub-Zero trust Island Wide with their hard won reputations and use this company as their authorized repair contractor. read more

This company was very easy to work with. They explained the problem and then came back and fixed it.

I have expensive appliances that are a little more than a year old and had an issue with my oven. I purchased an extended warranty plan with Appliance World and Island Wide is company the service is from. They were very responsive to the request and kept me up to date on the appointment with text and email. When they came to service, they notified me 15 min prior they were on their way, and when Alex my service man came he was very pleasant, very thorough in fixing my problem and also showed me how to avoid issues in the future. Joe was outstanding when it came to servicing our refrigerator. We had several companies that came and said they had to order parts but never came back. Joe from Island Wide came and figured out immediately what was wrong and was able to fix the unit right away. I would highly recommend them again! read more

THE WORST SERVICE IN LONG ISLAND!! PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!! I had problems with my 2 refrigerator and I called Island Wide Appliances. They came to my home and our tech was there for 23 mins! He left stating both of my refrigerators were fixed. Later on during the day, I realized 1 of the fridge wasn't working. I immediately called them to notified them. They told me they had to order an ice maker and the total charge would be $319.00. When I called George to ask for the breakdown of the price, he went berserk. He was so angry I was questioning the price. I was so confused and refused to get off the phone until I got a clear breakdown for what I was paying. At the end of the call " he suddenly" realized the price was $239.00. Then I told him I wanted an invoice and he yelled saying he doesn't have email. I asked to have it faxed and then he agreed. I told him that once I speak to my husband I'll called him back. Later that day I see a charge of $178.15. I called him in the am to follow up and he acted like we never spoke. This guy George is a "snake" very untrustworthy. He stated his coworker billed the charge. What kind of office is this where no one has communication. Once I said this he ordered me to silent and to let him talk. Blah blah blah came out of his mouth. I requested to speak to his supervisor since I never want to do business with him again. He denied me the call and I told him Thank you for his services but I wont be using this company ever again!!!! read more
