Who doesn't love a well-themed restaurant? I really miss that era of places that went all out on their interiors, and Islands nails it. Somehow, in 28 years of living, this was my first time trying it -- even though I've driven by this location hundreds of times without it ever catching my attention. I'm honestly a little disappointed in myself for waiting this long. The staff were exceptionally kind and got us seated right away. There were multiple drink options that paired really well with the burgers. The fries were on point, and the burgers were juicy with a perfect pink center -- exactly how they should be cooked. With that many burger options on the menu, I'll definitely be coming back a lot sooner next time. read more

This Islands restaurant was great. I sat myself at the bar area. I received immediate, friendly service. The bar area was very clean & enough room in between tables. The food was delicious! I started with the Spinach Artichoke Dip...served warm with cool salsa. Next was The Wedge (à la carte)...so much crispy bacon!! Also served warm. My waiter made sure my soda stayed full. Looking for a good spot with a delicious lunch menu, this is definitely the spot! Island's lunch break menu, weekdays til 2pm. A good selection and also a good lunch portion as well. If your looking for something on the lighter side and delicious, I suggest their soup and salad and get their Tortilla soup. So delicious and not spicy, just perfect. So Islands has become our Sunday lunch spot. The food is good, but the real reason we keep coming back is Abe the bartender. Relaxing in the luau-style atmosphere with a couple of cocktails is always enjoyable, and Abe consistently makes it better. He's friendly, remembers what you like, and clearly takes pride in his work. Service is always on point. The food is reliably solid, the vibe is laid-back, and it's an easy, fun way to wrap up the weekend. We came here for an early dinner and was greeted upon entering the restaurant. The restaurant and bar area was clean and had multiple huge screen tvs with different sports on. Sterling was our server and he gave us excellent customer service. We started off our meal with the Islands Nachos for the table. Some of the chips were stale and most of the cheese was clumped up. It was hard to get some cheese onto the plain chips. I ordered the Malibu burger since I'm a huge bacon fan. The burger was huge, flavors worked well together, and I was a fan of the fries. I wish I was hungry enough to finish all the fries. Sterling did an amazing job checking in on us to make sure everything was good and refilled our water cups. If we're in the area in the future, we would come back to try other things on the menu. read more

I noticed that tables were not being properly wiped down and floors were not being adequately maintained by a worker named mia. My family has been regularly coming to this islands location for several years, always a great experience overall; Megan, Cheyenne, Brie, and others are always fantastic and typically the reason we return. However, tonight on 6/1/26 we stopped in around 6:30pm (Check #110) and ordered our normal go-to items, one of which is a spicy chicken baja bowl wrapped in a tortilla to make it into a burrito, since Islands removed the burrito from the menu at some point last year (mind you, been ordering it this way since it was removed from the menu). Our waitress, Ariana took our order no issue (and overall was very good throughout the night), however, when our food came out she informed us that her manager said that they made the bowl into a burrito tonight as a "courtesy", but to not order it that way again because it's basically creating a new menu item..... really? Firstly, if we're going to call it anything, it's recreating an old menu item, with items that still are carried at the restaurant, just like they do with the Mavericks Burger -- no restaurant ever typically minds tweaking an item to the customer's request if they have the ingredients to do so. So if we can't "create menu items" I guess the Mavericks Burger is no longer allowed to be ordered either. Secondly, if food cost or tortilla inventory was the concern, charge for the tortilla; some waitresses have done it in the past (believe we were charged a couple of bucks in the past -- no big deal, I get it). The worst part about it all is the manager couldn't come out and say it to our face himself, instead he hid in the kitchen and made our waitress have to say it then peaked out and looked at us before going back to the kitchen. Unfortunately due to the way the manager handled the situation, basically indirectly scolding us for simply ordering a menu item and adding a tortilla to it, I don't know that we'll return. It's a shame because we do visit frequently and know a lot of the employees, but will not support a restaurant that treats their guests & staff the way he did. Not to mention, the restaurant was incredibly freezing to the point we asked our waitress if they could turn the temperature up a little.. so if he is worried about the cost of a tortilla, he should start worrying about the cost of air conditioning. Seems like he is tripping over dollars to pick up pennies. read more

Why is this place so good!! Don't sleep on the Turkey burger! It's so yummy and I love this place because I love mayo on my burgers! Not to mention the big basket of fries that I want more! Well let me start off by saying we have been to islands about 1000 times over the years. Me and the Mrs ordered our usual orders. Hers was China coast salad and mine Hawaiian burger (I also love the same with chicken called the Toucan). They delivered both orders exactly as asked. Fresh warm and lovely. Wife had a mango margarita that is pictured and oh yummy. We have been here 3 times to this location and it got the mark and then some. The food at Islands has always been incredibly filling and delicious. The drinks are just as perfect as the food. The "Hula" burger is my favorite along with the cheese fries. You can't beat those cheese fries. We have always had incredible service. The food and drinks always arrive quickly and delicious every time. It is never super busy here when we've come to eat. The bar area seems to be a hit at this location. This location has a lot of tv's and sports playing on them. It's not very loud at this location, which I love. You can still have a conversation and enjoy who you are with while enjoying your food. It is family-friendly and a great friend night location. I will be visiting this location again. read more
