I have been to a few Islands restaurants and this has to be one of my faves! We sat at the bar and were helped promptly. I ordered the Botanical Breeze and it was sooo delicious and honestly pretty low cal for those wanting a better option. I really give my hats off to the bartender. I thought it was great and did the job. As for the salad, we ordered a Chicken Caeser salad and it was really lacking in dressing. We decided that we were too hungry to complain and had it anyways. I'm giving one star because we never received our food after patiently waiting. When we arrived we waited about ten minutes to be seated. We gave our order right away. Waited about 40 minutes for our food to arrive. Not once during this time did the server come by and ask us if we wanted a refill on our drinks. We had a pretty awful experience here on 1/7/23. When we arrived we waited about 10 minutes before someone greeted us and sat us at a table. Once we sat our waiters name was Seth. He got our order for our drinks first. And then about 10 minutes later for our food. In total we waited about 50-55 minutes for our food to come out. About 45 minutes in Seth came out and said they had a problem in the kitchen but it should be out soon. We had an order of nachos but they forgot the beans. When we asked for the beans he brought them out in a bowl and they were the wrong kind so we asked for another order. Which came out close to when we were getting ready to leave. One of our burgers were missing the cheese. Usually your waiter will ask you if you'd like a refill but that didn't happen here. My family and I have become regulars to this location the manager Manny always greets us with a smile and makes sure we're acknowledged! He always makes sure that we've been helped and that our food is always accurate and tasty (ALWAYS IS !) The Buffalo wings are amazing as well as the tortilla soup comes with refills for those with a big appetite CACHINNNGGG!! This is a go to place where we know food will always be a hit it's a no brainer. My friend and I decided to stop at Islands Restaurant after for a small bite after shopping at the Glendale mall. Our server Marcia gave us excellent service which is something we needed after having a bad experience with the Apple Store in Glendale. She was so knowledgeable with the menu. Honestly, Islands used to be great, now it's trash. I dined here on April 30th, 2023 around 7:45pm. Whoever the cook was that day probably was busy watching the NHL playoff game. We ordered a Kilauea and Hula. Both patties were overcooked and dry. One of my burgers had a long piece of hair. Waitress had it remade but pattie was still overcooked and dry. They should focus on making the old menu better than trying to add more items, which in itself will confuse the kitchen and increase overhead costs. read more

This is your standard burger place. Nothing mind blowing but you still get a good burger and fries. They used to have unlimited fries but that is no longer the case. I used to really love the unlimited fries, but what can you do when they don't offer it anymore. The staff is always nice and friendly. Review is based mostly on service, food is still great (although has gotten small in proportion). Came in as a party of 4 and they seated us at the smallest table, even though we asked for a window side. They mentioned how one of the waiters wasn't there until a certain time so we weren't able to be seated where we requested. When we finally were seated, we ordered the food right away. When they brought the appetiser round, they only brought the appetiser with no plates or utensils. Our waiter, by the name of Christian seemed to forget when we asked him for certain things. Service was annoyingly ignored. I was very close on not leaving a tip because he kept forgetting. Don't think I'll be going back there any time soon. I went the glendale locaton near the americana and mall. i went to happy hour at the bar on June 13th, 2024. at 5:45 - 6:15. there was a hair in my burger. I emailed corporate .. they never got back to me. I love Islands Restaurant. We have only a few locations in Orange County. So anyway, I took my girl and I here after messing around in the city. They are pretty pricey and delicious food. I ordered the New Wave burger. I think my girl got something smaller. She doesn't eat as much as I eat lol. Food portions here are big. The French fries are tasty and fresh. But they are small size, and not very big. Customer service is good here. We had a good waiter serve us. Might have a chance to visit here again. read more

I have been to probably five different Islands around SoCal and the food is consistent with all so the four star with this location comes down to service. We came here on a Saturday evening around 6 pm when visiting the Glendale car show they have on Brand with a group of six. The place was full but they do have some seating there that will work for that amount or larger as we saw some bigger groups. We waited around ten minutes for seating and we placed in a long booth that worked. Our server, Hanna, came to the table with a good smile and disposition to match to take our drink order and then another friendly server delivered it soon after. We place our various orders for food and didn't wait long for the food to arrive and it was all good and the same type I am used to from Islands. Let me start by saying we've been loyal customers of the Islands brand for decades. Unfortunately we will not be going back to this store on Brand Blvd. The service was less than professional. We waited forever to be acknowledged by our server who was clearly in the weeds, but unapologetic about our wait. It wasn't even that busy. There were two other employees just walking around not helping the server, including the useless manager that was sitting in the corner in a booth on his phone the whole time we were there. When you have management that doesn't care, you'll have staff that doesn't care. It's a shame bc I know Islands corporate did not spend hours of training for this poor outcome and review. read more

Nice place!!!! I looove their blended strawberry and house margarita. Quesadilla with chicken was pricey tho but nice and cheeeesy. Portion was huge so we shared because we were not so hungry. Haven't been to Islands in a while and was looking forward to it. Upon arrival, the place didn't seem too busy, but there was definitely many people waiting to be seated. Tables were not promptly cleared and there were tables just sitting empty without seating all those waiting people. The wait was too long, so we went to neighboring BJ's. We were sat quickly, and service was great at BJ's. The employees at Islands seemed unmotivated, dreary, almost sad. There was no urgency whatsoever with staff. They need to stop blaming staffing issues and get some fire under the asses of the ones working! More and more customers will not put up with this lack lustre service. read more
