My husband and I spent a couple of days on Islay a few weeks ago. We booked Islay Taxis well in advance for airport pick-up and drop off, as well as an eight hour booking for a day of distillery tours. We rented Islay Taxi for 2 days total for the day. Both our drivers, Kevin and Kenneth were fantastic as drivers, tour guides and just exemplary human beings. We could not have been in better hands. We saw some tourists being winched out of the peat on a soft shoulder in their rental car. We had a quick two day trip to Islay for some whiskey tasting. Islay is simply amazing but difficult to get around without a car. After reaching out to a number of companies, we settled on Islay Taxis for their prompt response. Kevin C picked us up at the airport and shuttled us around for our 3 day visit. Kevin was so much more than just a driver. After getting slightly off our schedule on the first day, Kevin took charge and made sure we were where we needed to be--on time.
