These shakes are made with actual ice cream and rich espresso--no shortcuts, no false advertising. They're known for their Mount Bakers, but I came back on day two and ordered seven more espresso shakes cause others tried mine the day before and wanted one of their own. As you may know, a meal is NOT complete without dessert!! This "Mom and Pop" convenience store is nicer than most chain convenience stores that I have frequented. Harold's Corner Market was nice and clean inside. The merchandise was fully stocked and well-organized. Most importantly, the customer service was welcoming and courteous. After browsing, we found some ice cream bars to try. They seemed to be a locally made brand named Whidbey Island. Those ice cream bars were delicious!! Prices were reasonable too. Actually while browsing the store, it seemed that all the merchandise was fairly priced (even the gasoline). Even though they are located right next to the highway....I did not get the sense that prices would be considered "highway robbery". If I lived in this area, I'd be a regular for sure.

Alfredo is friendly but also a hardworking manager, always willing to lend a helping hand to his staff. The restaurant offers sandwiches, omelettes, waffles, and a variety of food items besides pancakes which are pretty good. The place when it's crowded seems to be able to keep the noise at comfortable level and not intrusive to my earshot! We of course reward great service especially when we get to know the staff.
