The praise and worship was lively and rousing. Their choir actually covered some of the religious songs I had heard on the radio before. And they did a great job! There was a guest Reverend that day. She really brought the message home. She gave a moving message in a voice that called for attention. I will return to Michigan Park Christian Church again and again.

The Congregation is welcoming and loving towards all who attend. The praise and worship, led by Victor Simonson is extraordinary. In the worship experience you feel the presence of God. Clearly it's an imperfect church with imperfect people, but the leadership of Pastor Marvin Owens has made our experience as members robust. We are being fed spiritually and the growth as a result of his teaching is evident. There is active ministry impacting the community throughout the week. The work of the ministry has provided a safe place to grow and learn about the love of God and spiritual principals and that are easily applied in our daily life. It was dedicated in 1898. You can tour the historic church and the catacombs. You will see full-size replicas of shrines of the Holy Land - Mount Calvary, Holy Sepulchre, plus the catacombs, Purgatory Chapel, and Annunciation and Nativity grottos. They offer tours daily - due to Covid restrictions, you must make a reservation. Tours and parking are free. You will be delighted to see the 100+ Nativity sets from the collection of Roger and Marguerite Sullivan. They traveled the world and collected over 500 Nativity sets. The Nativity sets are on exhibit here until January 6, 2022. It is quite a collection - you will be surprised at the sizes and materials used.

Reasonable price for child care. There has not been one day that we regretted this decision! Sure, a few mixed up bottles or some tears when I drop her off but overall, it has been a great experience. Lilly is ahead of her milestones, she is social, and happy to be around babies and kids. I attribute a lot of her success and growth with her time with the lovely ladies at Rhema. It is easy to get to from Medstar Washington Hospital Center, Providence hospital, Catholic University, Trinity among many other places. Parking is great-it is in a lot with plenty of spaces.
