She was able to curate a makeup shopping list for us- which we would use in the class. (Day of) She went through an extremely detailed (but easy to use) step by step booklet (which we go to keep for reference of the notes we took!), followed by doing my mothers makeup using the modular steps provided and showing us how to do everything- and why! Once my mother (the model) was done, my sister and I went step by step through all while Sam coached us and corrected or suggested different techniques! She also gave us some extra bobby pins to take with us just in case there were any mishaps and we needed to do some quick fixes on the fly before taking photos - but her work was spectacular and we didn't need any.
