I don't know if he was a sommelier, but he certainly knew all about the wines in the region. I started with a crisp dry white wine and ended with 2 reds that were dry and flavorful ...okay so night number 2, yes I went back again. It wasn't a fluke, staff is really that knowledgeable about wine and food, they really are that friendly, music is really that on trend and food is really that good. Night 1 had a ribeye cooked perfectly medium with salt flakes on top. 2nd night tataki with sesame, almonds and honey with sweet potatoes on the side. Red wine was still on point. There are amazing places to eat in Catania so it means a lot to me to go to the same restaurant 2 times in 2 nights.

This is the definition of a quick lunch spot, the chairs, tables...super casual. Almost like a cafeteria, but maybe one slight notch above from an ambiance perspective. Not much AC, super hot, who cares. I got a gigantic, ice cold beer to mitigate the heat, and it was a perfect pairing to the pizza. Super simple - sauce, cheese, prosciutto. They even cut it in half for us since we were splitting it. Somehow those three ingredients came together so perfectly that the pizza was almost creamy. It was "early" for dinner but the server treated us warmly. They had two draft beers and offered a taste sample. Our order was the blonde ale, some wings, beef short ribs and a bacon cheeseburger (I know- "American food in Sicily, what were we thinking). The wings (7 pieces) were hot and delicious served with three sauces. Our entrees arrived and to our amazement, the beef ribs were fork tender and delicious. The burger was cooked perfect with a house made sauce - also delicious.
