I went here the other day (I kind of want an iPhone, but not really) so I enquired about an upgrade to put my mind at rest. Only thing is, the iPhone is a whole different ballgame and it's very hard to do the switch, even though I am obviously a valued customer to the Vodafone Corporation. This saddens me and makes me want an iPhone more, even though I don't really. The people who work in the shop on Western Road are very helpful, but good salespeople too, so keep your wits about you.

I found it amusing that they set up this branch about three doors down from the much more expensive Sevenoaks Hi-Fi, which you would only want to visit if you were seriously minted. About the only thing they don't really do is iPods, but if you're looking for CD players, amps, DVD players, speakers, TVs, headphones, racks etc, give Currys a miss and go here instead.

Apparently I previously gave a 5 star review. I've had to…read moredowngrade to a 1 star review because of fraudulent activity. They denied a 2 day voucher return from a tablet bought in Crawley because the product was too damaged. The damage in question was a hairline scratch on the side frame of the tablet. They confirmed that my receipt said it was bought in Grade B condition. Apparently a scratch that isn't even on the screen, and requires a strong light source to be visible, is too damaged for them to accept. According to a young man who refused to give his name but claimed to be the manager, that wouldn't be sold in his store at all, not even as grade C. This is a scam performed because the tablet in question is difficult to sell as it has an out of date OS that can't install apps or use the internet anymore. Individual franchisees protect themselves by refusing returns from other franchisees as they don't want to eat the cost of stocking something they never wanted to sell or having to pay to ship the item back to its original store. The idea that CeX acts as a monolith chain is fiction. Treat each store as an individual store and don't expect a promise from one store to be upheld by another. I would like to add that their behaviour was professional, but the blank faced lying about the condition being too poor to accept for return means what seemed to be professional behavior was actually blatant trolling. Oh and I did get my return. I went back to the original store, Crawley, that I bought it from. Purchased a more appropriate tablet and it was quick and painless. Like all phone stores in Brighton, getting to speak to a sales assistant in the 02 store seems to…read morerequire a huge amount of patience. They're always under-staffed and the few members of staff there are usually on the phone or already talking to a customer. Once you get to speak to someone however, the staff here are excellent. They know their products inside out and don't try to get you to sign up for services or phones you don't want. I went back to complain about a fault on my iPhone and the guy I spoke to not only helped me get it fixed, he helped me get a £45 credit added to my account. Now, that's what I call customer service!

In addition, they added lots of bloatware, rubbish and other viruses that anti virus software then removed. Worse is that Nohow maintain there is nothing wrong with installing Lenovo superfish on people's computers as well as everything else, when all I wanted was my computer repaired...

I waited a few more minutes then went over to the group and asked for some help. An assistant said he would check to see if they had the model in stock but came back after a couple of minutes and said the one I wanted wouldn't be available for several days so I asked if any other models were in stock. His reply was There might be but it would take me ages to check!!!!! I told him not to bother, I would buy one elsewhere. I then went to Currys (PCWorld's sister company!) which is based further along the road. I found the ipad display and was only there a couple of minutes when Ed came over to see if he could help. What a difference between the two stores!!! He checked out the model on this computer then actually went to the stockroom to find it! He couldn't have been more helpful with his advice and service and deserves a mention on here! Thumbs up to Currys and down to PCWorld who definitely need lessons in customer service. Thank you Ed!
