We used to go to this place regularly when we crave sushi. However, the last time we wanted to get some sushi from them was the worst experience. I called to place a pick up order, the guy was extremely rude and unhelpful. When I asked him to speak to his supervisor, I was stunned when he said that he is the owner . He was very unprofessional and definitely the rudest. It was too late for us to change plans so we stuck with the order. Then when we got the food it was no where near what we have experienced before to say the least. My order had avocado that was black and definitely not fresh. Honestly, I would have given that place another chance to redeem themselves if I had a better experience with the owner but when the owner himself is that careless, I can't expect the staff to care about the quality of the food. This is the 2nd time we've come down here for lunch. According to their Yelp page, they are open Mondays. Upon arriving to the sushi restaurant, they are closed. Very disappointing that they don't update their page. Sushi quality is usually decent when they are open. However, there are more reliable places in the Renton/Kent/Covington areas. read more

First time visit to this new place located on Maple Valley Hwy. Its nice, clean, and staff is very friendly and attentive. You should be able to find parking ok but can be hit or miss because even though in a strip mall with private parking, it's next to NYP Grill and Bar that's a new place and has a great menu and drawing a crowd. For me, iSushi gets only 3 stars though because it's average to what kaiten sushi joints are offering as far as quality, the portion of the fish is smaller compared to other places (with exception to the tako nigiri), and the price is higher like Blue Sushi (maybe more?). Don't mind paying more for sushi if the quality is way better than average. Kaiten plates range from $1.50 - $6.50. Salmon Belly nigiri - the fish was still a bit chilled like it need a little more time to thaw. But still, the fattiness was really good. Luckily I love salmon so much that it still was good for me. Calamari legs - really good. Lightly coated and the serving is a lot. Tako nigiri - slice was larger/longer compared to other places and pretty good. Seahawks roll - way over priced at $5.75. There's 5 small pieces and hardly any scallop in it. Otherwise it's just salmon on top a cali roll. There is green masago on top with blue tempura flakes. You're pretty much paying for the novelty of the name. Tuna deluxe roll - I think that's what it was. Hard to say as it looked a little bit different than what's on the menu. For me, wanted to try it because it had "Japanese carrot" and wondered what's that about. It's a bit chunkier than julienne strips. In the end, did not like the texture contrast so it's just a matter of preference. Salmon nigiri - it was good but fish portion small. Fire ball roll (spicy tuna w/ tempura shrimp, salmon, jalapeño, masago, and sriracha) - has lots of spicy kick to it which was yum. Seared salmon nigiri - yummy and rightly priced. i-Special (crab filling wrapped with salmon and topped with masago and green onions) - average but probably wouldn't order again. Better of just ordering a fancier roll at the same price or salmon sashimi. Would I visit again? More than likely because it's close to home and kaiten offers a variety of nigiri and rolls. read more

I've been to iSushi several times for weekend lunch, and it's been fairly consistent every time. The rolls are good but not great, and I can count on getting what I want because in addition to the conveyor belt, rolls are made to order. My favorite is the Volcano Roll and just about anything with tempura shrimp. My biggest gripe is that they changed their entrance and it is no longer handicap accessible. I have no idea why, but they force you not to use the big double doors in front of the handicapped parking, but to go around the corner and up stairs to get into the waiting area. I think someone did not think this through at all and is probably unaware that they're not only not ADA compliant, but also alienating their customers. read more

This is one of my favorite sushi locations. When I first tried it I was a little worried because it is a conveyer belt sushi bar, but it is soooo good. They never disappoint. When I order to-go (which right now I usually am doing) they always bring me extra wasabi and ginger, like I ask. They are also perfectly priced. Sushiland has degraded so severely in quality that I have stopped going to any conveyor belt places. iSushi really surprised me. The quality of the food was not of "conveyor belt" quality. The rolls were excellent and on par with what you'd find at mid level sushi restaurants. The nigiri and sashimi were not cut as thick but that's to be expected. Everything was fresh! This is light years better than any conveyor belt sushi I've ever had. The rolls were huge (and not just full of rice) and I was full after sharing 5 plates with my husband. Really great sushi conveyor belt spot out in an area that feels like the boonies but isn't actually that far from downtown Renton. The space is very new and modern, spacious and clean. It is located a couple of miles east of the Maple Valley golf course, on maple valley highway, in that newer development with an array of restaurants, the biggest being NYP Pizza. My biggest complaint is that the parking field doesn't seem big enough. The service is pretty attentive, great for a conveyer belt restaurant. There are a lot of different options for rolls and nigiri. The fish tastes pretty fresh. My two critiques would be: (1) they should provide descriptions (or at least names) of the items rolling by on the belt - it's often a guessing or matching game trying to figure what to snag before it passes us by - and (2) the prices are on the high side for a conveyor belt restaurant, more akin to BlueC than a Genki. But, the selection and quality do support the higher prices. Given the quality and that the location isn't too far out, I'd say it's the best conveyor sushi place nearby. I'll be back! read more

Honestly, I don't generally have too high of expectations for conveyor belt sushi, but this place was great! We had the California, Toto, and Spider rolls. The pot stickers and edamame were pipping hot. We also ordered the calamari katsu which was awesome. I've never had calamari served katsu style and I wonder why more places don't make it like that. Lastly, we ordered the assorted tempura which was probably the best part of the meal. It was perfectly crisp and not at all oily, and the veggies were soft, but not mushy. Great conveyor belt sushi. A bit pricier, but quality sushi. The rolls are packed with fish, and low on the rice, which I like. I also like that they don't compensate for lack of flavor with sauce. The sauce here is used lightly and results in a well balanced flavor profile. The ambiance is classy and a bit upscale from typical conveyor belt joints I have been too. We came on a weekday at an odd time to eat, and the place was not busy, so the sushi options coming around were limited. But, the service was great and we just ordered the rolls we wanted to eat from the menu. The Hawaiian roll was my favorite. The Godzilla roll was OK. I loved the poke salad. read more

We came here for the all you can eat promo. It was totally worth it despite a little bit of a wait. I actually didn't expect too much since it looked like the run of the mill conveyor belt sushi joint but I was pleasantly surprised. The service was good even though the place was jam packed for the promo. The rolls were good and I liked all the sushi plates they had available. Presentation was good and everything seemed very clean. Also the fish was very fresh and tasty which is pretty important. Usually these conveyor type sushi places are known for quality but his place was legit. Also this place passed the tummy test because I didn't have any weird grumbling or unpleasantness after gorging down on all that delicious sushi. My husband and I came here because of their all you can eat sushi promo for $19.99. My husband didn't expect too much since it's one of those conveyer belt sushi place. Location: very easy to find and did not expect to have a good sushi restaurant in that neighborhood. For the place to get more customer they have to advertise more Cleanliness: very good Staff: on the day we went, the $19.99 promo was going on so there was an hour wait. We didn't mind waiting. The staff are very friendly and the manager is going around making sure everything is alright and apologizing for the wait, which I think was cool. Even when we were already seated, he comes by and make sure we got our order in. We never felt rush eating. He said, take your time and enjoy. But I could see some customers getting mad waiting for their food. But that is what happens if you're going to dine with a promo going on. Hot tea was replenish often. Price: very decent price on individual plate orders in comparison to Genki and sushi land Quality: we were actually surprised with the quality of sushi, the nigiri tasted fresh. The rolls were huge. I think, there's about 3-4 pcs on the blue and pink plates and they tasted really good. The only thing we didn't like is the deep fried calamari. About 2 weeks After my sister had a baby, we decided to celebrate by eating sushi. Hooray! Raw fish! My sister and brother-in-law are regulars here so they know, the rolls are usually pretty small. So we ordered several duplicates. When I went to go pick up our order, it was a platter of sushi and another side box. We ended up ordering more sushi than I thought was even possible, and I love sushi. Anyway! Moral of the story is, the food was really good and the presentation they set up was beautiful! I love conveyor belt sushi and this is one of the best I've had. We usually go to the Issaquah iSushi but popped in to the new Renton location as it was on the way home. While the Issaquah store is very spartan in its furnishings, the Renton location is pretty swank. Service was way better - very friendly and prompt. As for the food, most importantly the sushi was fresh and rolls well composed. Selection was very much the same as Issaquah, which isn't a bad thing - though I hope the options expand. iSushi over Sushiland & Genki Sushi. This is the closest sushi joint to my house (roughly 7 mins away) and although it is pricey-er than the two other conveyor belt sushi places, it definitely beats them in quality and freshness of fish. My favorites are the calamari legs (note: they have 3 different versions of calamari, but the calamari legs are the best), Hawaiian roll, seared salmon, and rainbow roll. I always try to try new things, but I love my usual order too much lol. I've never ever had to wait to be seated, which I love. Plus, they have a pretty big menu! read more
