As per usual, I yelped. A came across Silver Sac. When looking at the review, there was only 1. So I was a little apprehensive, but I looked at the website and was BLOWN away by what they offered. Immediately, my mother and myself got into contact with Silver Sac, specifically Karin, and thus began the party planning!!! I had a guest list of 80.... and I wanted something a little different... just a cocktail party. And that was what was explained to Karin, and just like that, a menu was emailed and we were sold!!!! Here's the best part.... Silver Sac worked with us and our budget, and were ALWAYS available to talk. I mean, I sent probably 1000 emails back and forth to Karin, and she always responded. My theme was black and white stripes, and yellow.... which Silver Sac provided yellow flowers on each food tray. There were to be 4 servers and a bartender. On the day of my party, the whole team arrived approximately 2 hours before the party started. They set up EVERYTHING!!! We provided the booze and desserts. They provided, everything else. My favorite part, was that there was a signature drink that I created called the Verdict, an orange, basil mojito! It was great. The team consisted of a chef, 4 servers and a bartender. Dean, basically the ring leader, was sooooo attentive. I can't even explain how awesome he was, always making sure I got all the appetizers and timing. Fantastic!! Let's get down to business though.... the food. Here is what I had: Hot Spinach and Artichoke Dip with Colored Tortillas Sauteed Artichokes Bottoms with Herb Beurre Blanc Roasted Vegetable Napoleons with Pesto Drizzle Seared Ahi Tuna Skewers with Wasabi Aioli, Black & White Sesame Seeds Smoked Salmon on Gauphrette Chip, Lemon Crème Fraiche and Dill Grilled Baby "Lollipop" Lamb Chops with Fresh Mint Sauce Tiny, Petit Filet Mignon on Croustade , Gorgonzola Sauce and Herb Garnish Open-Face, Bite-Size Cheeseburgers with Crispy Shallot Rings and Ketchup Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes with Basil Remoulade Maine Lobster in Savory Waffle Cones with Fresh Citrus and Avocado Shrimp Scampi-Style Madras Curry Chicken Kebobs with Cucumber-Mint Raita Enough food for EVERYONE!!!!! I tried every single thing, except for the artichoke bottoms.... unfortunately being the guest of honor prevents you from getting to everything. But, at one point in the party, I asked Dean if I could get a cheeseburger because I hadn't gotten one... and Dean, being as awesome as he is, provided me with an individual plate of 4 lamb chops, and 4 mini cheeseburgers. I can't even tell you what was my favorite... but everyone was raving about the food. So fresh, so hot, so perfect!! Hands down the best catering service. Well, I broke my wrist and was unable to do so. A day and half before the party I found Dream Ark via an internet search. I sent an email inquiry and was immediately contacted by Roza. Miraculously she said she could do the job even with short notice. We discussed design ideas and colors. I then sent her photos of the party room. The day of the party Roza and her partner arrived 4 hours before party time and installed the most stunning balloon decorations and backdrop. After the party they came back and collected everything. She also did not have any make up on. She looked like she slept in her tattered costume and rolled out of her car after a night of binge drinking. She also had a Spanish accent, which clearly Elsa does not. I was so upset that I emailed the company after the party and asked for a refund which I was NOT given. They offered me 50% off a future party but after that why would I even hire them again, and throw in the poor customer service. All of the parents were telling me how I should get my money back, even the kids were saying she wasn't real they could see her hair. I would have gladly paid double for a better entertainer. It's not the money but the principle that I did not get what I paid for. You would think for $150 a hour Elsa could get herself a decent wig. Fast forward to now. My boss wanted to do something to recognize the dietitians for nutrition month, so she booked us a painting party here. I was immediately anxious, I can't paint! I was nervous about going and even on the day of I did not feel any better about it. In fact, I was convinced this would really suck! About 7 of us came and our instructor was Cole. He was so very patient with us. Most dietitians have a type A personality and want to control everything. I can say that I am more easy going than that, but still, this is art we are talking about here. I am more at ease doing calorie calculations for tube feeding patients! So we begin our art session. Slowly but surely, the picture began to take place (we did a pineapple). Even more awesome, it was super relaxing, at least for me it was. Cole was very helpful and didn't make me (us) feel like we were not up to par with the art world. He guided us through the whole process, using terms that we could understand. In the end, I REALLLLLLLLLLLY enjoyed myself and was glad that my boss chose this activity for us to do! I actually asked her if we could do this again! I wouldn't mind going with some of my friends if we could get a schedule together that worked for all of us. Tons of thanks to Cole for helping me to relax and see that I am not the worst artist ever lol :)

My wife and I used South Florida Events for our wedding, and the buffet style food was excellent,…read morehowever, we do not recommend the catering service for a wedding for a few reasons. When we initially met with the caterer 7 months before our wedding, we had told them that we estimated 130 guests, but it would probably be less. They told us that wouldn't be an issue and to let them know a month out a final guest count. However, a month out from our wedding, they were trying to charge us for a full 130 when we had told them that our guest count was 105 (including the bride & groom). Our wedding planner was able to convince them to charge us for only 115 people, so we ended up inviting another 4 guests since we were paying for the food. So we had 109 guests and were paying for 115. We couldn't believe it and were completely disappointed to later find out that some of the food ran out, specifically the mahi mahi entree, when we had paid for 6 more people than we ended up having in attendance. Those who did not get to eat mahi were given more of the appetizers to compensate. Per our contract we had understood that we paid for more than the amount of actual guests and we can't understand why a main entree had run out before two full tables had been served. The caterer was not only late to the venue for initial set up, but was also very late to serve the food, after it had been blessed and a thank you speech from the father of the bride, to let our guests eat. This lead to many of our guests questioning both my wife and myself when we would actually have dinner. The food was good, but due to the service, we would not recommend this company for your catering needs ever.
