My work colleague brought me over here for lunch and it was a pretty cool cafe. I ordered the Special Tirkey Panini that had seveel turkey slices,, avacado, Fuji apples bits, and apricot jam. I added mustard to it as well. My work buddy got a slice of meat and cheese quiche. Then she got a home made blueberry muffin. Sitting outside was the best part about this cafe because there are a lot trees that offer much needed shade. It seemed like most of the people out there were retirees from the McLean area. Maybe I will come back one morning on my way to work to try their coffee.

Since we were back in the area for a DMV for a brief visit we knew exactly where we were stopping before heading to the airport. Hubs ordered his usual sausage, egg and cheese sandwich , and I ordered the bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich along with an iced mocha. I had completely forgotten they have a Starbucks on-site with a limited menu. Of course, I couldn't leave without grabbing a cookie and a chocolate croissant for later. The food arrived fresh, hot, and exactly as expected. The staff is always friendly and personable. You see professionals, students and the locals coming in and out, but there is seating available. Conversations are at a minimum and despite the attached restaurant you can still hear yourself and the other person without yelling. One thing I appreciate about Best Buns is the consistency. Whether it's been months or years between visits, the quality never seems to change. The sandwiches are flavorful, the ingredients taste fresh, and nothing feels like it was sitting around waiting to be reheated. Everything is prepared to order, and you can taste the difference. My sandwich disappeared one bite at a time, and Hubs completely demolished his croissant sandwich without hesitation. That's usually all the confirmation I need. Some restaurants are good. Some are memorable, but there are the places that become part of your routine whenever you're back in town. Best Buns has earned that status for us. Five stars earned! Consistently fresh. Consistently delicious. We'll be dropping in on another turn and burn later this month...

I got a McLovin (Sasuage, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit), a New Orleans style coffee, a slice of PB Nutella Pie, and two cookies: one Oreo in a blanket and the other a PB Cup in a Blanket (which are basically chocolate chip cookies with an Oreo and PB Cup inside of them). I've had the pie and coffee before and loved. But the other items are new. I'll start with the McLovin: it's incredible! All the flavors work together nicely. The buttermilk biscuit is nice and fluffy and the sausage is well seasoned and egg was cooked to perfection with some melty cheese! The PB Cup in and blanket was yummy too! A stagger advised I heat it ijnthe microwave for 10 seconds and it was so gooey! The Oreo in a Blanket was also great! I really enjoy Bakeshop and I'm so glad I live really close to one! I've been to the Vienna and Arlington locations and the staff for both are really nice! Quick service too!

I like that they allow you to customize the flavors. I had a red velvet with cream cheese icing and it was so soft and melted in your mouth. They are beautifully decorated, highly recommend!
