Hubby & I were curious so we came here for lunch then our gf's bday. Lunch service was way more attentive than dinner. Options are limited during lunch but decent. No standout dishes but the sweet shrimp was the most hilarious TINIEST thing I've ever seen, ridiculous. For dinner, it was a busy Sunday night & extremely loud. Our waitress took forever with everything. She forgot 3 of our dishes, waters & drinks. Never once came & check on us. We had to wave her down & when we pointed out our missing dishes she completely ignored us & blamed the kitchen. Glad we were able to try their lunch & dinner. There are better options out there than here.

We went for lunch. AYCE for 2 people came to about $65. Nice inside. Staff was very nice and helpful. I wish there was a tablet ordering system or similar. I could see how if we came at a busy time there would he a delay in ordering. Food was ok. Good. Not special. My son said for the price he would go again. We left full.

ATTN: Show student ID for 10% discount!! Came here with friends to try this AYCE sushi place they have been raving about. We came on a weekday for dinner and were seated immediately. Parking was pretty easy. Service was very quick and efficient, which I liked. Fyi, they only offer shashimi during dinner and on weekends. Although weekday lunch is significantly cheaper, the fanciest option is nigiri on that menu. We ordered lots and lots of sashimi, specifically salmon, yellowtail, tuna, and mackerel. Unlike other AYCE places, there's no limit to ordering anything for any round, so go crazy (at your own risk). I really liked the salmon and yellowtail. However, I wasn't a huge fan of the tuna. I thought it was too tough in consistency wasn't as buttery as I was hoping. Appetizers were good; we ordered 1 of every appetizer pictured on the menu. Rolls were solid. Enjoyed the variety. Tried the steak teppanyaki, and it was average; more chewy than I would have liked, but I was curious. They have desserts including ice cream, cheesecake, and deep-fried cheesecake. Ice cream was average. I thought the cheesecake was too sweet and couldn't finish it. Overall, enjoyed my experience. Price is worth the AYCE. First timer at an all you can eat sushi place, and babyyyyyy it is a game changer. I ate all the things and I left with a smile on my face from ear to ear. The staff is attentive, the restaurant is clean, and there are a billion items on the menu from which to choose. Gyoza and miso soup and salmon skin hand rolls, and everything in between. Not a lot of dessert options-but if you're here for dessert, then you're crazy. You gotta come for that sushi!!!

All you can eat sushi and it did not disappoint. Cravings were satisfied. I ordered multiple rolls on the menu and all of them were really good ! I do like that nigori and sashimi are both included in this price. The reason i did not give it 5 stars was just some of fish just tasted like it just has been defrosted in the back. Instead of tasting fresh you can taste the fish saturated with water weight. The interior is pretty nice. It's all hard wood everywhere and looks like the inside of a Japanese dojo. They advertise Japanese videos, posters and many more. The service was exceptional. I enjoyed this place a lot. The price is a little hefty but if you come during the week during lunch hours you can get a great price for a steal.

Been looking for a new AYCE spot in the region and Itacho did not disappoint! I love Little Sakana and go often so I was curious how this place was different - I think you get jus different selections of rolls and apps here + a few more extras that we loved. The service was good, our particular server was sooooo nice and fun and made sure we were taken care of. The restaurant is nice and big, a really open space that feels super casual and modern. Whoever did the playlist that did was doing the damn thing, I rapping bars as much as I was eating the sushi! Overall i'd say 8/10 spot, as I do feel like som flavors could have been better and the delivery of the dishes felt kind of chaotic (albeit fast!). I'll definitely be back because i looooove a solid ayce place. i only got a pic of the fried cheesecake lol which was 10/10! coming back for that for sure!

Great value with so much to choose from!

Great price, awesome ambiance, superb staff customer service, and best of all delicious food! Our first time eating here and with so many restaurant to choose from in the ConVoy Clairemont Mesa area, just happened to find this gem! It's worth every penny. Our server Ryan and the rest of the crew who helped deliver our food were nothing but outstanding! Highly recommended and will definitely be back here again!

I would give this place 3.5 stars if I could. Definitely come here hungry because it is an AYCE spot. There is easy plaza parking. I came here on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't very busy! There's a decent amount of options of rolls, nigiri, handrolls, and appetisers you can try here! All of the nigiri and handrolls were great. San Diego really just has the freshest fish! I also really enjoyed the fish appetizers. Unfortunately I found a bone and an unedible piece of fish in my nigiri and that broke my heart :( I also wanted to try the soups, but both the hot and sour soup and the ramen had very bland broth. I'd highly recommend sticking to just the sushi and fish here!

Come here hungry. An ayce sushi place serving generous slices of fresh fish - unlike most places that try to give you a ton of rice and wafer slim slices of fish. They have a good selection of sushi, rolls, appetizers and hot food. The food comes fast so you don't get full waiting. Hot food seems to be made to order. The ramen was disappointing but don't come for ramen! Definitely coming back whenever we are in town.

Tried this last night after craving all you can eat sushi for a while now. The quality on everything is pretty well above what you would normally see for all you can eat. Nigiri portions were big and meaty and a lot of the rolls came in sets of 5 instead of 8 so we could try more! The Wagyu nigiri was great and we loved the demon roll. I would load up on nigiri pretty much the whole time if I went back especially the seared tuna and seared salmon! The decor was great and there were a ton of tables so the wait wasn't bad at all even for a Saturday night. Jojo, our server was super, super helpful and could not have been nicer or more friendly!

Worth the visit. Great service and delicious food. So many things to choose from. Ramen is also included! With big screen tvs showing sports or areas in South Korea, you can choose where you want to watch. I choose to watch what I was putting in my mouth lol. Cool place with such a relaxing vibe. I'll be back for sure. Thanks Cean for the excellent service.

First time here and I was highly impressed. AYCE can really be a hit or a complete miss. The restaurant was big and open. We were seated right away for a Saturday night. It was pretty busy too but had tables open. Sweet: Good comparable price for what's included. We enjoyed most of the items that we tried. All the sushi items were fresh except for the sweet shrimp. My favorites were probably the hand-rolls and nigiri. I like how they have teppanyaki as well so if you don't want to have sushi they have a variety of options to choose from. For the most part the food comes out at a decent pace. Sour: The server wasn't the greatest. She was quite didn't say much even just came up at times to take our orders but didn't acknowledge us while taking our order. Which was a bit odd. Didn't even apologize when our exact order was given to the table behind us and she had to order it again. We did enjoy everything we tried except for the sweet shrimp and chicken meatball. The sweet shrimp was extremely tiny almost could've missed it on the plate. But besides the size of it as it's not a big deal of the size it was not very fresh. The chicken meatball had a very weird taste didn't even attempt to finish it. The sushi rolls weren't much of an interest to me, most of them have cream cheese inside. Overall I really enjoyed this AYCE. I will definitely be back. Next time I'd like to check out the lunch menu.

03/27/2026 My husband and I visited Itacho for lunch. We specifically wanted the Uni (Ultra, $55.99); it was unavailable, we opted for the Platinum tier ($42.99). Highlights: * 5/5: Yellowtail (melts in your mouth), Salmon (fresh!), Eel (must have!), Masago, and Miso Soup. * 4/5: Sweet Shrimp, Smoked Salmon, Steamed Shrimp, Tobiko, and Yellowtail Jalapeño. * 3/5: Escolar, Tuna, Tilapia, Avocado Hand Roll, Cheesecake, and Vanilla Ice Cream. * 2/5: R27 Lobster Roll. Drinks: Space Dust IPA ($6) Service: Our server, Ryan, was chill and pleasant--we really enjoyed our interaction with him!

Casual order-at-the-counter Japanese place that serves dishes like teriyaki chicken, sushi, ramen,…read moreyakisoba, etc. Their menu is massive, and the selection is quite friendly towards those who are new to Japanese food. The specials are a great deal as the portion is massive and enough to share between two people comfortably. If you dine in, most entrees also come with miso soup. The curry chicken katsu was nothing special; the curry was a little lacking in flavor, and I would've appreciated a salad of some sort to add variety and freshness. The macaroni salad is good though. The D2 special is great value and variety. It comes with miso soup, tempura, salad, macaroni salad, and teriyaki chicken on a bed of fried rice. The fried rice has a shockingly good wok flavor, and the teriyaki is quite good. Not a dish that will blow your mind, but definitely hits the spot without breaking the bank. They have some tables outside if you have a dog or prefer to sit there right by the parking lot; your food will still be brought out to you, just let them know when you order.

Very pleasant service and no line greeted me today at Katsu Cafe. I was happy to see that I could…read moreorder a dual beef + chicken teriyaki plate so I could try both, and subbed the rice for extra salad. The food arrived quickly and was a large portion for the price. Unfortunately, the salad was bland - while expected to an extent with Japanese salads, the dressing is supposed to deliver but instead it was meek and watery. I also didn't enjoy the pasta-infused potato salad flavor. As for the meats, the beef was tastier to me than the chicken. Both were cut in very large strips which was a bit hard to manage since no knife was provided. Chicken was fairly stringy, and the teriyaki sauce was mid.
