(I asked for drum circles, full and new moon ceremonies, ecstatic dance, hiking, disc golf, etc-at this location they do the first half of that list!) This will be my new permanent hangout and I just can't say enough good things about the people who own this place (Rachael and E), such amazing vibes, definitely my new soul family. They not only have amazing local products but they do not take a cut so the artists make 100% of what they sell a product for. They have a free young adult class to help those who struggle with mental health issues. They do all kinds of events all the time! (see photos) They have a tea/cacao bar occasionally too! While I was there some kids came in asking to see if the building (The Community Center) had a food pantry and since this tends to happen often enough, the owners started collecting canned goods and were able to give the kids a whole boxful right on the spot. When people talk a good talk, they often don't walk the walk. I would bet my life that these people never even attempt to talk the talk and that is because they are genuine human beings who live the walk. They are just the best and I cannot wait to join all the events here! And if it doesn't resonate to buy, you could always consider donating to this amazing place! While most of the WW2 veterans have passed away there are still abundant Korean and Vietnam vets doing their fish fry. The food is first class and because of the volume they serve the fish is always hot and fresh. I always get a kick when I go to the bar and get my diet coke. It is $1.00. I feel like I am stealing so I always give the bar tender a big tip. These vets always seem to hire young girl bartenders. I wonder why? I always feel safe when I come into the VFW as the local police always know a bargain and are here in force.
