I have joined him for the last 17 years. We have always talked about stopping in this store and we finally had the opportunity to do so as we were looking for a few pieces for our summer home. 7/17/24 - First attempted visit I was dining next door at Copita and stepped out with my daughter while we were waiting for our food to come. The door to the store was propped wide open so we walked in to take a look around. An old woman was sitting in the store talking on the phone. She stopped her conversation to tell us in a very annoyed tone that she was closed and had been closed, and she had dinner plans so we needed to leave the store. I apologized for coming in the propped open door as I thought she was open and said that we would come back tomorrow. 7/18/24 - Second attempted visit I came back the very next day. I brought my husband, my daughter (4), my friend and her two children (4 & 6). The door was again propped open so we excitedly entered the store. We barely made it past the entrance when the old woman very rudely yelled across the store to us saying, "THEY can't come in here." I asked her who can't come in and she replied in a disgusted tone "The kids. We don't allow kids." We left as we're not going to argue with her as she was clearly looking for a confrontation, and clearly did not want our business. We were very disappointed to not be allowed to shop here. There are plenty of antique stores on the island that have much nicer staff and quite frankly, much nicer items as well. We ended up finding a few beautiful pieces elsewhere. I would not give your business to this store.

Prices are a little high but everything is locally made. The gardens outside are worth the trip all on their own. Currently they can't accept credit card and I don't know if that's going to change anytime soon.
