This small building is about 130 years old, and the there's a modernized 1890's vibe here, playing 1970's music overhead. The burger was two (seemingly) mini meatloaves, perfectly seasoned, topped with fresh lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles. The cheese was bubbly. I found the bun somewhat weak for the job it was trying to hold together. Collapsed into itself at one point. The bacon was fine (isn't it always!), but just not my favorite. The home-made fries were potatoey perfection. My grandmother passed around 1982. If she were still here, I'd be forced to tell her someone makes a better chocolate pie than her. At least I avoided the cussing and getting walloped by a broom. The crust was buttery and of perfect firmness. The chocolate cream was covered in heavenly whipped cream, I assume homemade.
