Generally very tasty - make sure you dig around for the kimchi at the bottom as it's a nice contrast to the relatively heavy chicken and chips - both done very well though. Will def be back to sample more options!

The price, as…read morementioned by Natalie, is maybe a bit on the higher side for a lunch but I think its overall worth it. (Although maybe not the sort of meal that would really fill you up if you were really hungry). I have had the fish tacos, the slow cooked short ribs and most recently the Dragon Bowl. The fish tacos were pretty good, short ribs tasty and the Dragon Bowl was good too. Fusion Lab is located right next to Viet Shack - part of the same family - and they serve similar sort of food. Also just opposite is Gym Shack which is all part of the same family (and opened by the same people). This is similar to Kettlebell Kitchen with high protein and healthy carb meals - (still not had a chance to try Gym Shack yet). One thing to mention, with Vietnamese food generally, it often has coriander in it so if you don't like it, mention this and can you have what you order without it - which I forgot when I got the short ribs.

The food is classed as pan asian which is great as I love all asian food. However, the sushi, although very good, I feel it is slightly overpriced for what you get. The duck, especially at lunch, is amazing value though. Plenty for 2 to share. This is definitely a place to try out if you love asian food.

My first visit to Sakana and I was pleasantly surprised at how its interior looked (more so the delicious smells wafting over as you passed by their open kitchen). We were seated in a corner with decent views of the goings-on, and set about conquering the menu - the group was almost military in its tactics, dividing the menu's sections between ourselves to make sure we got to sample lots of different dishes. Three of us ordered a bottle of their house red (a Merlot) which was actually quite good - a bit on the peppery side but I really liked it. The food started to arrive after a bit of a wait, but we'd had some prawn crackers to whet our appetite. The sashimi platter that I ordered for us all to share was a bit disappointing (usual price £28 for 15 pieces). I can't think of anything else that was particularly underwhelming; the combo of orders was all rather good - but the highlights for me were the Taiwanese buns which you could have with shredded duck or pork belly (we ordered both). These were absolutely heavenly, for want of a better word. Service was friendly, if not a tad haphazard at times; it's definitely somewhere to consider for date night. That being said, you'd have to be happy 'flashing the cash' as I don't think it's worth the full price they'd ordinarily be charging diners.

Or perhaps they don't need to and it is just a play pet project for the owners who also own Seamark (the building next door) Hulme is not a nice area and it really is an odd place to have a restuarant such as this, bit out the way and not a place I recommend for a nice stroll. The decor is great and they spent millions of pounds designing it, so you will certainly be in awe of the place. However the food is not so grand. It is by no means bad but come on!!!!! This is Manchester and as fellow yelpers would testify there is a massive choice for diners and to be honest when it comes to food alone this place falls short of a few places I can think of. As I said the food is ok, and the place is well worth checking out once, but will you return there on a regular basis?? I think not. Oh, and I have no idea who thought it was a good idea to make this brochure that you can pick up on your way out, but it did make me cringe. Awful design and a blatantly staged picture with a rather lairy looking Ryan Giggs with an accompanying caption which read "regular customers" made me just think "school boy error!!!!!!!!" So perhaps its not so much the place, which is great, nor the food, which is not bad. It's just.... it seems the owner put a lot of time, effort and money into the place and left it for a bunch of monkeys to run... But hey I took me madre here on her birthday and she loved it. The ambiance of the place. So much so she didn't really care what the food was like. I imagine that sentiment is echoed quite alot..... So 3*s is about right me thinks...A-ok indeed fellow yelpeeps.. This place kept popping up on my socials so I knew it was fate I had to try it. I was glad I did!! I went in around noon, quickly got sat down and given a menu, and then the problem was choosing what to have. I went for the teriyaki chicken meal set and it was quick to arrive. For a drink I just went with a Japanese green tea. The meal set was quick to come and it had a plate of teriyaki chicken, a bowl of white rice, and a bowl of miso soup. I loved all of it. I read up on the correct way to have it all, picked up my chopsticks and went to town. I was a little nervous for the miso soup as I've had one before and didn't like it but this one was amazing. The chicken was perfectly cooked and full of flavour, the rice shot, fluffy, and hot. I definitely will go back here as there was more I wanted to try. The ambiance was amazing, I was in front of the kitchen so could see the chefs preparing the food, and all the different bottles of sake were around so I could look at those and pick one if I wanted some alcohol. I can't wait to return

Went down several flights of stairs, cute, at the time quiet atmosphere, seated straightaway. The staff were really nice, especially the lady that closed our ticket. She was a hoot and sharing with our son how he should be a Manchester "United" fab vs "City". Ordered several different things to try since it was our 1st time, most reviews seem old and not good. So let's get into it: 1st up: Duck Gyoza: fried very crispy with a side of cherry hoisin sauce. The meat was pretty tender. Was it good, yes, would I personally order again, no. I like the steamed gyoza better for me. 2nd: The Hot Honey Fried Chicken (Teriyaki flavor). Chicken coated in hot honey + teriyaki sauce. Topped with mixed pickles and served with a zesty vegan mayo on the side. Let me clear my throat, this right is my kinda food. Th meat was tender, spicy, sweet and savory all at the same dang time. In fact, we ordered a 2nd order. This was a table hit!!! 3rd: Bang, Bang Cauliflower. Hear me when I say,SPICY!!! Good but SPICY, my husband loved this so much he ordered a 2nd serving. 4th: The reason we came, our son's request (11may I add). shirodashi pork belly ramen slow-cooked pork belly drizzled with korean barbecue sauce + ramen noodles in a rich chicken broth. pea shoots. menma. wakame. spring onion. half a tea-stained egg. To our surprise, he tore into this bowl!! He will likely eat most foods kids his age doesn't eat but he didn't shy away from any of the ingredients, I was taken aback when he bit into the egg!! As for mom tax on his food, the noodles could have been a bit softer (cooked longer). The flavor was pretty good. Not saying I need to order my own but glad he enjoyed it!! We had water, him a Sprite, happy about the Zero Sugar but wish it was fountain vs. can. All in all pretty decent meal, pricing was okay for the amount of food, I guess. . I'd say, if you've never eaten at a WagaMama, give it a try. Hope this review helped inspire you!!

The tori kara age was very crispy and good dipped in the soy 3/5. Chicken steamed gyoza was average but filling 3/5. Overall a quick solid meal where I got to sample a few menu items instead of getting my usual steak bulgogi, pad Thai or chicken katsu curry.

We booked the 30% off in January deal and rocked up not knowing what to expect. It's in a lovely (but expensive) part of the city and walking in you could see it would be lavish. The lighting was dim but good and we got a little confused as there was nobody waiting at the sorry, so we went upstairs and to the bar and checked in and quickly got seated. The chair and booth was so soft and comfy I sank into it and felt like I was gonna sink forever ... but I survived and it was comfy. The place setting was so much fancier than I was used to and it oozed posh. We quickly got served and the server was lovely and helpful and the restaurant was just lovely. When we got our food (decided in just a main and later desert as we planned for later tacos) and oh my god .. the ribeye was the best steak I've ever had. It was so tender and juicy and cooked to perfection and the thick cut chips were brilliant. I just got a single small glass of red (which was more than I usually pay for a bottle ) and was just lovely. The desert came later and my god that was equally as good. The bill was £80 for 2 of us but with the 30% off went down to £60 which was cheaper than other places we've been to but only with the money off. Would I go again as a date or treat? ... Absolutely

The whole place screams class and panache from every corner. This bar is definitely very unique and reminds me a lot of classy cocktail bars in London or New York. The pricing definitely is very high end as you would imagine and you need to put on some swanky clothes to feel not so out of place here. I can vouch that the food is delicious and so are the cocktails, but that you can find in a lot of other places too so this one you need to visit purely for the ambiance and the whole experience. Verdict : Great place to visit when you want to feel special!
