The restaurant is in the heart of downtown McHenry and next to the river. I highly recommend sitting in the enclosed patio. It's spacious, full of tvs, and has a nice view of the river. You can tell based on the menu and confirmed by our server, burgers are their thing. All kinds including beef, bison, chicken, turkey, veggie and fish, some choices are an up charge. The burgers come with a side, some have an up charge. Our server mentioned everything is made in-house. I feel it's a rarity of restaurants to made their food in-house so it made me excited for the food. Everything is reasonably price. I opted for the BFM burger and pickle chips ($2 up charge). The burger was juicy and well cooked. Their burgers are 1/2 lbs so it was big. The pickle chips were crunchy and really good. Portion was huge and worth the up charge. My lunch partner chose Cajun fries and they were crispy and flavorful. Our server was great! She was so nice! One negative, they allow dogs and many people brought their dogs. Since the space is enclosed, I did not like all the dogs while I was eating. It was tricky leaving since the hostess stand is located in the tight entrance and there was a dog right in the doorway.
