Jim is such a pleasant gentleman. The work quality is always of superb quality. For this reason, I loved Jim's craftsman that I have been dropping off a few of my high quality shoes and boots. I used to have 13 pairs of boots and now just 7 boots. Two are work boots, this pair, as shown, were well worn that the exterior was beaten from rough work last Summer 2020. A big hole in the sole so I dropped it off to be resoled. Jim called me a few days later and when I went to pick it up, I was shocked at how great it looked! I always forget to bring cash and he is always good about it that I'd go to BOA and come back with cash. I brought a pair of Manolo Blahnik's which had a little seam that was stretched and about to break. The owner was super nice and friendly and the work was completed in a timely manner but the shoes are now ruined. When I picked them up I looked at the seam and it looks like it was repaired by a kindergartner. I could have just taken a needle and thread and did what he did. They are fixed for sure but the way they did the repair ruined the look of a $600 shoe. I wish he had said he could fix it but it would be super noticeable and unprofessional looking and at least given me an option to take it to a high end repair store before he ruined them. Also, thank goodness he bags the shoes because the smell of cigarette smoke is so disgusting and overwhelming I couldn't wait to get out. Visited this place about a year ago and they patched up a busted seam on my rather expensive Harley boots. Also has them die the suede leather from grey to black. Did a great job of making them as good as new. The other boot just blew out in the same spot as the other. Taking them in to get the exact same service done again (other boot repaired this time). The guy obviously smokes so that's a bit unpleasant when in the shop but whatever. They won't take your credit or debit card which is moderately inconvenient but then again it's worth it. He's moving from 64th & Kipling to 64th and Simms on Memorial Day weekend 2018. read more

This guy is awesome. A true artist. I have brought a few things to him and he always does an excellent job. He recently repaired a rip in the facing of a Michael Kors handbag. He used matching saffiano leather and he made the stitching so perfect, he even inserted his needle into the exact same stitching holes that were already there. I don't know if he costs more than other shoe repairs, but if he does, it is totally worth it because he will fix it right. read more
