Nobody likes going to the dentist. Worse, nobody likes getting a root canal. I've had extensive…read moredental work and have lost count of how many crowns and root canals are in my mouth. I knew something was going on near my upper left molars, but I couldn't pinpoint which tooth it was. I went to my dentist, who took x-rays and told me he was pretty sure it was a particular molar, suggested I needed a root canal, and referred me to Dr. Pratt at Prescott Endodontic Associates. They were able to get me an appointment the next day. I arrived for my midday appointment. Dr. Pratt did extensive testing to ensure that we pinpointed the correct tooth, then told me he could do the root canal immediately. What? RIGHT NOW? It doesn't take two or three visits? I was astonished. To be fair, I was "in the chair" for a solid three hours. But Dr. Pratt and his able assistant, Jess, made sure I was 100% comfortable and kept me pain free the entire time. I was also impressed with the high-tech equipment they used, including Dr. Pratt using a microscope to locate my hard-to-find roots and Jess taking in-progress X-rays that instantly appeared on the monitor before me. I already had a crown on that tooth. I was afraid I might have to get a new one. But Dr. Pratt drilled a hole through the crown to get to the root(s) and remove them, then filled the hole. I had no idea that was even a possibility. Dentistry has come a long, long way from my childhood in the early 60s! My tooth was a bit sensitive for a couple of weeks afterward, but that was to be expected. I had no post-trauma infection pop up, which was my biggest concern. The icing on the cake was when a check arrived in the mail a few weeks later as a result of my insurance having covered more than had been estimated - a nice bonus! 10/10 would recommend every member of Dr. Pratt's team - from the front office staff to the accounting staff to his assistant Jess - to anyone needing endodontic care. This was first-class dentistry at its finest.

SUMMARY ========= I…read moream extremely satisfied & grateful for my entire recent evaluation/consult and treatment/follow-ups experience provided by -- and HIGHLY recommend -- Dr. Kleinman and his staff at Northern Arizona Endodontics. REFERRALS ========== After confirming that recent swelling in my gum above the upper left front tooth was a reinfection of a 25-year-old root canal (following tooth death after a sports trauma), my Prescott dentist referred me to: (1) Northern Arizona Endodontics, where I was able to immediately get an evaluation & consult appointment within a couple of days; in addition to (2) an alternative practice that had a 2nd office in PV with FIVE endodontists, but where they couldn't get me in for an evaluation & consult for FOUR MONTHS! EVAL/CONSULT ============= During the initial evaluation & consult, Dr. Kleinman used some amazing 3D-imaging technology to diagnose and visually detail (able to rotate along three axes) the issue: the infected tooth's crown screw post -- gold-plated, lead-free brass old technology IIRC) -- had originally pierced both the unusually curved root into and through the tooth, penetrating a small distance into the gum (kind of a minor miracle that it didn't become infected sooner!). Dr. Kleinman explained that he could try to save the tooth & crown by: (1) cleaning out the infected area; (2) shaving the protruding screw post back into the root; (3) filling the tooth; (4) performing a precautionary apicoectomy on that tooth root while in there surgically to minimize potential future infection; and filling the missing bone with medication to promote bone regrowth. To his credit, he told me he expected the odds of ultimate long-term success to be 50/50. APPOINTMENT ============= The surgery was initially scheduled for three months out; the Front Office Manager, Christi, explained that because Dr. Kleinman was one of the few (possibly the only, but don't recall exactly) endodontists in Northern AZ who accepted insurance -- he was in high demand. I explained that I didn't have insurance and would be paying cash -- and asked if they had a wait-list I could get on in case of cancellations? She said "Yes," added me to it, explained that if she called in the future I needed to answer (as she wouldn't be leaving voicemails) -- and to my great surprise and joy phoned the next day saying there was a cancellation and opening the following week, which I of course accepted (requesting sick leave from work). SURGERY ========= Dr. Kleinman descriptively explained each action he performed during the surgery -- and the assistants worked well in coordination. He prescribed some NSAIDs and pain-killers (which I decided to forego), and kindly gave me his personal phone # explaining that I could call him if there was subsequent bleeding so we could do additional emergency suturing -- as it was very important to prevent reinfection during the healing process. He provided me with a written list of instructions to follow --which I REALLY appreciated. FOLLOW-UPS ============ We serially scheduled and I was x-rayed at subsequent appointments (initially to check for reinfection) -- and finally six months after the surgery, x-rays showed continual bone regrowth with a little space left to fill. Prognosis: SUCCESS! Dr. Kleinman explained that the first year after surgery is the most vulnerable to reinfection -- and of course to contact the office again if any pain infection, bleeding or other issues arose around that tooth. THANK YOU Dr. Kleinman for saving that tooth! I really wasn't looking forward to having to choose between an implant and a bridge ...

Unfortunately my visits as an adult were always by emergency care and never by personal desire. The outside of the building is older - but the inside is delightfully decorated. This office has ample seating and a small refrigerator filled with water bottles for convenience. Per my recent visit with Dr Michael Thompson, his demeanor was calm and his bedside manner was stellar!! I was told by another dentist at another location that I would need a root canal - Instead I opted to get a second opinion on my own at Litchfield Endodontics with Dr Michael and he stated I did not need one and opted to fix my cracked tooth instead. The technology of their 3-D scanner made my visit efficient and smooth. I felt like I was in and out quickly. The staff at this office are kind and really made me feel comfortable. I couldn't be more happy with my decision to read and trust the reviews, visit and finally have my dental needs taken care of. Thanks L.E. for your support, services and empathy! For anyone looking to get the care they need, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Michael Thompson at Litchfield Endodontics!

I never felt any after pain. This was for two molar teeth. My only qualms is the administration team. They have a contact us on their page but they have never answered my question. I have delta dental and they are in-network for this practice thankfully. However I still ended up paying almost 500 out of pocket! I believe they balance bill which they are NOT supposed to do, due to being in-network for my insurance. It'd only be 500 if they're charging a ridiculous amount for a root canal well above standard amount. With my insurance they maxed the entire plan out which was honestly shocking. I recently got a root canal and crown and paid almost 500 out of pocket for BOTH from a different dentist. I even have almost 100$ left in my plan. That says a lot. Anyways I tried reaching out to them to ask about the break down and they never got back to me. A bunch of money siphons! I'd avoid this place. I love Dr. Lammont and his team but administration is some shady team. It's full of young women who are busy chatting with each other and not actually helping patients. Also side note for my root canal they let a student sit in and assist Dr. Lammont. I was not informed of this and not offered the choice if I wanted the student to sit in. The student had no prior experience assisting with a root canal. The student was originally watching the procedure and then they were like "you want to sit in? Okay grab some gloves" and never asked me if I was okay with it. If I'm going to be your Guinea pig at least ask or give me a friggin discount to let you spectate. Student did a terrible job by the way. Kept poking me in the mouth. Hope she doesn't become an endodontist.
