Her appointment was at 2 pm and my Husband arrived with her at 2:07 pm. They refused to see my young daughter through no fault of her own and without any advance notice of said policy. Had we known, I may have risked taking my daughter myself instead of requesting help from my Husband. I wanted to inform other customers in case they potentially run into an emergency that may make them "5 minutes late" as we were not extended that courtesy. We were simply and quite unfortunately turned away. Although, I do believe my Husband and daughter were discriminated against as I do not see this "policy" listed anywhere. If it is, in fact, a true policy, I would recommend the salon make their customers and potential customers aware in advance as the only heads up we have ever received was their policy on 12 hour cancellation.

Unfortunately, these salons have a habit of closing up almost overnight, leaving customers (and more importantly package-holders) high and dry. Good luck getting a response from any complaints left ... you'd have better odds at winning Mega Millions lottery than hearing back from the owner. I was one of the customers left hanging when the location near Target closed its doors without notice in January 2016. I was actually looking forward to trying their new salon, which was SUPPOSED to have been open within a week or two. I thought it quite odd that most wouldn't close one salon down until the new one was open but, then again, I've never owned a business. I think it was more than five or six months that Soleil was off the grid and before they FINALLY opened the 75th Street location. No way was I going to hedge my bets with this company ... no matter how state-of-the-art the tanning units were. Doing a little investigating, I found that the owner was EVICTED from the PP location for non-payment of rent. Oddly enough, the same story applies for two past locations (Racine and the original Kenosha location on 18th Street). Strangely enough, the owner drives luxury automobiles everywhere while stiffing his customers wallets, quite infuriating! Not sure if the 75th Street store will disappear like the others ... but beware of Soleil ... the shadiest tan in town.

We were planning to get manicures, but with that attitude, we promptly left and took our business elsewhere. The next time I went in was to tan in the beds. Again, it was just "meh". The prices were outrageously expensive for any sort of "package" (aren't those supposed to be a better deal than the single use!?). The beds seemed outdated. They looked outdated, there were little fans in the rooms to cool you, instead of built-in fans in the beds. There were CD players? With radios in them? Very outdated. No music playing, so while tanning it was awkwardly quiet. Not to mention they don't offer any type of discount or package for students. And no I'm not talking high school students, I'm talking college students who pay thousands of dollars for an education who do not have $100 + to buy a monthly tanning package. Poor service, outdated equipment, &overpriced for what you get. A very "meh" experience.
