My husband had just installed a new filter on the main tank backwards. The inspector should have pulled the filter and would have seen it needed to be flipped around. My husband did that in 10 seconds and the tank drained. The inspector new it and was looking to make some money. Crooked and dishonest! The inspector also was an hour late and honestly, very creepy. He knew what was wrong and lied. Thought we were stupid. Don't be stupid and hire this company!!!

Both plumbers we called came to the same conclusion: the repair was simply an elbow replacement under the house. Neither of them could understand why opening up the bathroom wall would be necessary. We ended up hiring one of those companies, and they had everything repaired in about an hour. The final bill came to just over $750, and the repair was completed without cutting into any walls or creating unnecessary damage. I'm glad we trusted our instincts and got other opinions. It saved us a significant amount of money and avoided a much bigger job than what was actually needed.

We've used J&S twice for our lift station--first for a small repair, and the second time for a new pump. Each time, they came out quickly, and walked me through everything that needed to be done. The second time, they even suggested that I check to make sure that the county wasn't liable for the repair, since that would be done free. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case, but the fact that they suggested that option rather than just take our money really impressed me. When it came to installing a new pump, I was given several options and prices, along with the pros and cons of each, so I could make a good decision. The pump was installed without my needing to be there, and the final cost matched the estimate. I would not hesitate to use J&S again. read more

I understand a small variance between quote and final invoice but this goes beyond that. They refused to negotiate the final invoice. Terrible service, do not recommend. The owner responded saying my problem is with insurance. It is not. My insurance is treating me fairly and paying the claim. My problem is with the bad faith estimate that was provided to me by Ross Restoration. I think his response shows their lack of ownership of when they make mistakes in their work. There are regulations that are supposed to prevent surprise billing and it is reasonable that consumers shouldn't expect more than a 10% difference between estimate and final bill. His response is a great example of why I do not recommend them.
