Project Build an outdoor staircase with materials from a specific local manufacturer. Bring in gravel, rake it out and compact to cover about 1000sq ft in the side yard. He wanted to rent equipment for the gravel layout, and at our request he agreed to hire a dump truck with a conveyor to shoot the gravel in situ. Mid October, John was here for walk through and said he'll get us a bid. We had to follow up, and heard from him January 24th. Without pasting in the content of his email: he said he had trouble finding anyone to lay the gravel, had issues dealing with the manufacturer, and resigned from the job. This morning, I made one call to a local conveyor and scheduled them to shoot 12yd of 3/4 open for early Feb. The manufacturer was always prompt, with clear communication with us. They just needed measurements, and were setup to deliver to our home by Reddaway. So I don't know what J & V's issue was. Anyway, pretty tired of area contractors stringing along clients and then later drop the less profitable jobs. We want our back yard back. Thanks for reading. read more

J&V Home Improvement did our house siding and a new exterior sliding door. John was very meticulous and completed job in a timely manner. In the process he found several windows that had not been installed correctly by a previous contractor. He monitored the window repairs to make sure they were done correctly. read more
