My usual donut shop in the area is temporarily closed, and I was craving some donuts, so that brings me here to this review: This place has a decent selection of donuts/baked goods - HUGE muffins for example, and the hot orders come out very quickly. My husband ordered some egg croissant sandwich, which was tasty enough but nothing I'd write home about. It was really good sized though and I was a fan of the croissant. We ordered two different colored glazed donuts with sprinkles on top and an old fashioned donut. The donuts are also huge and had the doughy texture that I like in a donut, however my only complaint is that they were all overwhelmingly sweet. I have a huge sweet tooth and these were hard to put down. My advice? Don't try to eat more than one donut, unless you order very simple, plain flavors. While this donut shop isn't the one for me, I can see how it's good/convenient enough for a quick and easy breakfast on the go. The lady who helped us at the register is also nice. read more

JC Donuts has been our go to breakfast/donut spot for the last 5 or so years and they never disappoint. Donuts aren't the only thing they do, they also have some of the best breakfast burritos and sandwiches we've ever had. Our go to breakfast is their ultimate breakfast sandwich and their bacon and sausage breakfast burritos, both with sliced avocado and jalapeños and a Vietnamese iced coffee. The service is always quick and pleasant every time we go, especially when we call in our order. My family and I were actually going to eat at the House of Pancakes nearby but they were sooo busy and we didn't want to wait and in the same shopping center saw JC Donuts and decided to give them a try and we are so glad we did! I love the food and I've been going there for 13 years, but they took advantage of my age, and added $2 an up charge for 4 doughnuts. Because they were 'special'. Also 3.50 for a croissant that we didn't even order, and to top it all of, .50 service fee for using a credit card on a bill that exceeded $58. They do not operate this business honestly, and aren't transparent with their prices. We are heartbroken and will sadly be never coming back again because I don't know if my family and I can trust this business. read more

They run out of buttermilk bars pretty regularly (a classic donut in my opinion) and will short your change if you pay cash and aren't paying attention. Beware! My husband picked up donuts for us this morning and he was on a call and the cashier (make) thought he wasn't paying attention. My husband was due 80 cents in change and the cashier switched from issuing quarters to all dimes, and gave him 70 cents...it doesn't make sense to give someone 8 dimes if you owe them 80 cents unless you intensionally were looking to short someone you thought wasn't looking. Very shady. Good donuts but stock lacks and this bad experience of basically being stolen from when donuts obviously have a decent profit margin, means we won't be coming back and we will be letting everyone we know, know about it. They have the most amazing donuts hands down. I am visiting South Orange County and the delivery was so fast! I am in a hotel so everyone knows there are no meals being currently offered. Donuts are cute and tasted good! I'm more of a fan of classic donuts, like cake-like ones or cinnamon twists, but my kids liked the decorated ones (think unicorns, rainbows and Mickey). Because of this, I spent $42 on 1 dozen donuts, not knowing the real cost. A dozen was advertised at around $17.50. Having said this, I believe my kids and their friend, also a kid, enjoyed the donuts. For the price and for what I ate, I am not so sure. I went to a few off Alicia and they were either too heavy, doughy, or dense. JC donuts were fluffy. Light. And fresh. Very soft, and light on the toppings. I don't like heavily doused donuts. The glazed was perfectly glazed and light and fluffy. The plain cake was light and fluffy. Other places are dense and over fried. They have a decent variety considering covid. I got a few novelty too for my daughter. All in all I think this is the best plain donut place in the aliso Niguel area. Pricing was very fair and above all freshness and taste were spot on. JC Donuts went above and beyond today. We had yet another terrible experience with Postmates wherein they only brought a fraction of what we ordered. They called the driver right away who refused to return. When we contacted them ourselves they went above and beyond in making it right. What's more, their food is always yummy and fresh.
