They came to get my car for repairs and said they would contact me when done. Well instead of contacting me to get my car. They said they repoed it....how do you pick it up for repairs (which I have the texts saying it all) and then place it on my credit as a repo? I am putting negative reviews for them wherever I can. My car is a great car but the manager Latisha or whatever her name is, has bad customer service. She constantly harass customers when trying to make payment. She states that you can't even be 24 hours late for your payment due to conflicting work hours or delayed pay due to holidays. She has an attitude all the time. She doesn't greet customers properly upon arrival. I tried to make a payment on yesterday and she wouldn't accept my card due to her wanting to know why I couldn't make the payment the day before, was threatening to repossess my car for payment only 24 hours late, I'm not behind on payments but getting harassed as if I'm a month late. Overall this place would be a great place but this one bad apple that you have contacting customers for payment ruins it for the whole establishment. I bought a car from this place in April 2018. I had recently gone through a divorce so my credit was shot. Not only were they willing to work with me and my awful credit, they also have a pretty darn good warranty in place which is why I went with them. The warranty pretty much covers everything under the hood within 2 years or 24,000 miles whichever comes first with the exception of AC/Tires which is understandable. They also will give you a voucher for $10 oil changes in their shop or any Jiffy Lube if you're unable to make the drive to their maintenance shop. In July 2018, my car pretty much died on me while I was driving home from work. I had to have it towed to their shop in De Soto. I live in McKinney so that bill alone was going to be $189. As a single mom, the thought of costly repairs and having to pay that tow bill was very distressing to me. After several days of being in the shop, not only did they do the work for free (fuel pump)they also covered the towing. I am beyond pleased and grateful with how fair and professional they were by extending me this courtesy. To set your expectations when you go purchase a vehicle from them, this isn't going to be your dream car. This place will instead help you get your credit back on track since they do report to all three credit bureaus. I've been making my payments faithfully 2x a month and I can slowly see my credit score rise and improve. If making on-time payments is something you are unable to commit to, then do not purchase a vehicle from here. They will tell you time and time again when you are filling out your paperwork that if you are late for any reason and cannot make your payment on the agreed upon date, they will repossess your vehicle and that there is no grace period. Getting my credit fixed is what I am more concerned about than anything and JD Byrider is helping me get there. read more

I've been with this company for almost three years never missed a payment not once or late by any means they call you 1 pm that same day anyways but this time for the second time really is wrong my wife made a payment arrangement on the 8th of December to miss a payment we couldn't afford one my wife was laid off but did get new job so things would be ok so that week came we didn't pay then the 25th came paid two days early here it is day after Christmas they calling all day long demanding another payment saying I'm 16 days late after talking to someone which they record the calls wanted my same pay stub to fix this problem I waited no email to send email said they send me one now just got off with someone name Chrissy which when asked for manger said no higher then her she was the boss can't speak to no one I know this doesn't make much sense but they have us so upset bottom line this company doesn't care abt there customers they tell u one thing do something else then is my second review my wife lost her job mine is slow has been slow due to COVID my wife in hotels been laid off twice we never missed a payment car company's do help there customers and care I promise you this company does not they trick you into a scam do not go there please I would use Stanley auto I have a truck from there and they are so understanding all the time and treat you very good they appreciate your business do not use this place so much better out there read more

maybe had i come to this location my experience would be different. who knows maybe the reviewers are employees. as the experience i have had with the sister company in ft worth has been nothing but a nightmare. i believe with all my heart i was sold a lemon. since 10/2020 vehicle has been towed 2x to fix the same problem that was to be fixed the first time. did waive repair fees but y not? i only have had the car for 3 months or so and had to aaa 500.00 just for tow and then another 234.00 for repairs, meanwhile all while still paying note on time might i add btw. i call and ask for help since i had to come out of pocket 700.00 to cover work and repairs that my warranty and insurance doesnt only to be told they do not allow for arrangements either!!!! my car note is 234.00 i asked to pay 160.00 and response was nope. we dont ever allow for an extension. and that i know to be a lie. add insult to injury they still call for payment, even though they can look out window and vehicle in shop. such a crappy way to do your customers. so i got stuck with a shitty vehicle, piss poor service oh and a company who can give 2 cents bout their cars or customers for that matter. i knew this company had a bad reputation...but i was assured theyd gotten better. a company that was founded to help those with less income get into a vehicle are actually standing behind a name and scamming us instead. and anyone who is proud to say they work here are no better than the company itself and should be very ashamed of working for a company who has no integrity, zero! no way my car should have been in need of anything within first 3 months of purchase. warranty covers nothing. if i could do a -5 stars that would be my honest review. people do your research bc when my car goes down next month again, since they fix one thing at a time...i'm going to be stuck paying for a vehicle i can't drive. probably right after my warranty expires at best. i'm thinking bout allowing it to be repossessed and deal with my credit or bankruptcy later. drastic measure but at this point...i am over jd by rider. will never recommend to anyone read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!! This place is a scam. We purchased the vehicle after being forced into a vehicle we didn't think was best for us, but we went with it because we have kids and it was a need. On time with our payments every single time. We weren't late ONCE. They automatically pulled it from our account. Then we went in with a document from the IRS showing an interception for another account and they took the vehicle back, even though James with the finance dept insisted they were just going to re-write the loan. We had already put down 1200.00 plus they wanted 2500.00 more. After they told us to just bring in the documentation to re-write the loan, they insisted that the loan was out of the window (since Saturday and they are closed Sundays) and they were taking the car back. I'm sure the vehicle is worth about 3000 if that and they are going to end up selling it for another 12000.00 the way they did us. Saw a few other reviews on review sites about class action suits. Definitely looking into one. read more

DO NOT do business here. RUN away. We were ONE day late after they told us it would be ok. We wanted to pay half from one account and half from another. They said they could not accept partial payments. It had to be all from one account. Our bank was closed at this point and it was impossible to do that until Monday morning. By then the car was repossessed. I called today and they will not do anything to help. Pay loan in full or we keep the car they said. RUN away if you are reading this. I pray you haven't signed anything yet. We are not the only people this is happening to. Business as usual it seems. Those of us who come to this dealership aren't rich. We dont have a lot. What kind of sick monsters are these people? It is low to smile in our faces and give us hope just to take our money and put us in a worse position than you found us in. My husband was almost finished paying on his 1st car that he had paid a lot out of pocket to get fixed, was talked into trading it for a less expensive car which was a lie. He get the new car, it has transmission issues..they have a mechanic who would fix it free of charge. This car has been in the shop more than he's driven it! He makes his payments on time always, even though his car was in the shop for 2 weeks. When he got it back it drives worse than when he took it and he was told it's nothing they can do because he doesn't qualify for a trade. Thanks for nothing! You're welcome for still receiving your on time payments for a car he's"stuck" with. This was in 2017.
