As a retired veteran I am on a budget and this is a lot money but I scraped together $2500 to put towards a $500 a month arrangement. I paid another $500 in June and was out of the country in July. By August I was getting nasty letters threatening legal action if the entire bill wasn't paid in full. It just so happens that I had made out a check in Mid August but my wife forgot to drop it off. Be careful to get everything in writing if you do deal with this company. I'd pick another business if I had to choose again.

I wanted to go with a smaller local company but called Swick to get a comparison bid. Both sales guys were knowledgeable and extremely nice and sent me bids in a timely manner. Both systems were expensive, more than I wanted to pay since I had a newer furnace, it just wasn't big enough. I called the smaller company to come back out to give me more ideas and a general idea of pricing on them which they did. I finally decided what direction I wanted to go so e-mailed and left a vm for the smaller company of what I was thinking and I would like new bids. No response. Did it again, no response. While waiting, Swick called to see if I needed anything more from them. I told them what I was thinking and Norm came back out and several days later sent me bids. The bids were right in the ballpark of what the other company had mentioned so I reluctantly hired Swick. The process of having my room heater installed upstairs and gas fireplace insert in the family room could not have gone smoother. I have only good things to say about Swick. The room heater had not arrived by the appt date so my work was done in 2 appts vs one which was fine with me. I wanted the gas fireplace asap so I could use it. The installers were very friendly, professional and yet a sense of humor. When done they cleaned everything up completely and gave me a tutorial. The room heater was the same experience. Different installers but once again extremely nice, professional AND they put up with 2 dogs in their way as they worked without looking at all irritated. Everything once again was spotless when they left. I am totally impressed with Swick!

I was at her side watching her die for 15 days. After she died, I called to schedule service. I was advised my membership expired 4 days ago, and I missed the window for the included services. I could not believe what I was hearing. I told them I responded to the text, but was advised it was an "automated" text sent by their system and they do not monitor responses. I do NOT recommend this company.

II decided on 906 Heating & Cooling, a local company, to have a new furnace installed. HUGE…read moreexpensive mistake! The owner sent his son alone to install the furnace at the end of November. In February, I asked about the permit that should have been in place before the installation. David said the paperwork must have gotten lost in the mail and refiled for the permit. Nothing about the installation was in code. The following is from the inspector's findings when he finally came in February. 1. Supply plenum is not properly made to transition between old duck work. 2. Return air elbow and air filter is too small for the BTU/airflow of new furnace. 3. Gas piping is on an angle causing stress on it. 4. Venting is done in 2" PVC pipe and needs to be 3" per manufactures installation manual. The owner of 906 Heating & Cooling (David) didn't inspect the initial furnace installation. The installer used an excessive amount of foil tape to hold pieces of sheet metal together and to cover large gaps for a makeshift supply plenum. After a couple weeks, the foil tape was coming loose, sheet metal pieces were separating allowing majority of heat to flow into the basement. I called 906 Heating & Cooling near the end of December to fix the problems. David sent his son alone again who then uses more sheet metal and more foil tape to patch up an already substandard job, and then again didn't inspect his son's work. 906 Heating & Cooling displayed a lack of knowledge installing a furnace and no quality control. We had a guy come out in September, very friendly, said he'd have the estimate in a couple of days. Ten days later--nothing. I contacted them and was promised an estimate in one or two days. Nothing. This has gone on for two months. I email every week, I get apologies, I get promises, and then I get nothing. Hell of a business model.
