We drove around thru the park nd seen a deer eating along the road. Wasn't scared at all. There are several swimming holes and small waterfall/rapids areas with plenty of camping spots. There were a lot of folks out and camping. The park is about 10k acres sitting in the start of the Arbuckle Mountains. Great day trip.

I appreciate the interpretive signs along the walking path providing the history of the park. I love that the trail is accessible, and the further you walk back you find yourself in a wooded area where the trail leaves the pavement, climbing in and around the bluffs. The complimentary water stations throughout the course were a nice and much-needed touch. Be sure to wear tennis shoes, as some areas were muddy, and expect to break a sweat. A hat or sunglasses would be helpful, especially on a sunny day. The restroom there is a portable toilet outside. One thing we really enjoyed was the flexibility to go at our own pace, or even split up and make it a friendly competition within our group. Every staff member we interacted with was extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better.

What a fun way to spend our afternoon! There are a couple of…read moremazes around town, but this is the best one. It's pricy (4-12yrs $15 | 13+ $20) but if you are only going to do one or two things in town, this is a good one. It took our family of five about an hour and we had a blast. We split up at times, worked together at others and at one point had someone in the middle trying to direct the rest to the exit. We laughed a lot and had enjoyed ourselves. We considered doing the mini golf afterwards but found it was just as expensive at the maze so we skipped it. The employee at the front desk was kind, answered our questions and even offered to take a photo of all of us outside in front of the sign. The employees inside the maze were there if you needed them, but didn't interact with us at all otherwise. There were ice cold water stations throughout the maze, which was nice and there are a fair bit of stairs, so wear comfy shoes!
