This was my first time visiting the University of Illinois in many years. He took me around to the Alma Mater Sculpture, the Illini Union, and then we walked around the quad outside of the Illini Union. It is a very nice campus. There were many students and we saw many prospective students going on tours. If you're visiting the Champaign/Urbana area, I recommend taking a scenic walk around the University of Illinois campus.

Everyone is so kind and compassionate and I feel so confident in my dogs care here. The staff takes their time and really wants to understand their clients and their goals for treatment in order to best support them and come up with the most appropriate plan. Dr. Hampel is who we are working with and I could not be more thrilled to have her as our oncologist. Our second visit (just two days after our first) was unfortunately an emergency transfer for a blood transfusion and critical care due to gastric ulcer. They took us in right away and the ICU team was there to help immediately. They too were incredibly kind and I felt so comfortable leaving Nikki in their care. They were fantastic about providing updates, especially considering how busy they are. She ended up staying for three days/two nights in their care and I knew she was in the best hands. Dr. Soreng-Robbins, Dr. Von Shaumberg and Dr. Bonadie were there for us every step of the way and I could not be more grateful. My sweet girl is doing much better now and I cannot thank them enough for saving her. I would highly, highly recommend this hospital to anyone who may need a specialty or even just for primary care. Super-long wait times, zero communication, and even after your pet is seen, they will make you wait…read moreliterally hours just to prep your bill and let you check out. U of I is supposed to be a prestigious school, but the U of I vet emergency center is a black eye to the university. Every single person in the waiting room was horrified by their service. Whoever is in charge of the vet center should be terminated for incompetence. Steer clear of this place.

This school is known for education and has a great nursing program, but not the only options for majors. One daughter majoring in communications and the other in Social Work. We attended Preview this weekend and I was very impressed with all of the education provided to students and parents. Students were able to register for classes and get their student ID so that is all taken care of before school starts in the fall. My daughter had a great time and met many new students!
