J. Thomas Hicks, CPA, brings over 40 years of expertise in tax planning, business forecasting, financial management and advisory education. As Owner of J.T. Hicks & Company, P.A., CPAs, he has spent 40 years overseeing audits, tax returns, and business advisory services. He specializes in guiding small and mid-sized businesses through corporate structuring, tax efficiency, and financial planning. Tom has held leadership roles as Controller, Treasurer, and Finance Manager, managing tax compliance and financial reporting for private companies, public entities, and nonprofits. His expertise in automated accounting systems has helped businesses streamline operations. A dedicated educator, Tom has taught accounting at Husson College, Eastern Maine Community College, and Delaware State Technical College. He has also contributed to business education initiatives like the Maine Business Incubator Without Walls Project, helping professionals implement effective tax strategies.
