Y'all, I love a good happy hour! I definitely love a good happy hour that has great service, yummy drinks and delicious food! Jack Allen's never disappoints! Jack Allen's has half off all appetizers and a dollar off all cocktails and wine. And Monday night has great happy hour deals. Anywho, I had the house red wine and we ordered several of the happy hour appetizers. My favorites were the chips and salsa and the barbacoa quesadilla. It was so delicious and I will be ordering that again. You'll have to try that quesadilla! Most of all, Our servers were the best. We had two, One was in training and you could not even tell. She did great! They were friendly, attentive and prompt. I'm looking forward to many more happy hours at Jack Allen's kitchen

Dude what???? Who know a random chain restaurant would have one of the best enchiladas I have ever tasted? Was it because it was Barbacoa? Was it the mojito I had? Or the fact I was starving?? Who knows? What I do know is that it was delicious. Now, the rice and beans were chain restaurant vibes, but I was so pleasantly surprised by the enchiladas. Kaylee took great care of us and excited to go back next time I'm in Austin. We also combined the blueberry lemonade w a vodka shot, was yummy and then they made me a black cherry mojito, also yummy.

Came here for the first time, and wasn't impressed. The place was nice and clean. The staff did a good job serving. I am not a fan of the dish I ordered. While I'd give it a 9 for appearance, the taste was more around 6.7. It just didn't do it for me. Not sure I'll return. Maybe if someone invites me.

Came here to celebrate a kid's birthday and had a great experience. One child in our group has severe food allergies, and the staff handled it with incredible care and patience. The manager even came over to help us walk through the menu and recommend safe options, which we really appreciated. The food was excellent--from the crispy flatbread to the salmon and baked pasta with chicken. To top it off, the birthday boy got a surprise on-the-house cake and ice cream. Thoughtful service, great food, and a place we'd happily return to.

Christmas dinner with friends. Server Courtney was superb. Guacamole and salsa appetizer was excellent. Entrees of Horseradish crusted salmon and redfish daily special were superb. Friends enjoyed the pimento cheese appetizer as well as the chicken fried pork chop and the crab cake daily special. Turning down the lights 2 levels was too much.

This place is consistent good. And we frequent here on Fridays for our standard end of week fare. Best food happy hour in town. And service is always . We went here during their happy hour (3:30-6:30pm M-F) and stuck with their happy hour items and we got super full. Appetizer is 1/2 off and drinks are $1 off and I believe $4 off wine bottle. We always enjoy their barbacoa quesadilla and guac on the appetizers menu. Kids menu options are great too. Our son always loves their kids Mac & cheese but today he got cheese quesadilla. Portion is small but would be perfect if yours doesn't eat much. It comes with a side of fries or fruits and includes a drink.

Excellent brunch menu! I made a reservation and got a great booth on the side with a great view but still quiet enough to hear my dining partner. We started with the guacamole and chips and it was fantastic. They don't skimp on the amount or put annoying strips of lettuce underneath to add volume. It was the perfect start to the day. We all settled on the same dish: the ruby red trout. I would say it's the best thing on the menu; flavorful, plenty, and affordable. For dessert, we tried the apple crumble with ice cream. Though I normally don't crave apple desserts, the apple crumble was salty sweet and the ice cream was my favorite because it tasted homemade. Jack Allen's is a favorite of mine but this was my first brunch there and my out of town guest loved it.

Stopped in for a late lunch and was not disappointed. I ordered the special of bang bang shrimp bowl with Asian slaw and fried rice= deliciousness. Bartender, Lisa, was on point with great friendly service, energy and made the Tito's sage and grapefruit cocktail with a splash of soda, very good! I will be back.

We've been coming to Jack Allen's for about a year now, and Amanda has consistently been our favorite waitress. Her service is always friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which is why we specifically request her whenever we visit. She always makes sure everything is perfect and makes the whole dining experience feel special. Amanda is a big reason we keep coming back!

You can't go wrong by visiting Jack Allens. All items are curated to burst flavors of goodness in every bite. Today I had the tacos and pancakes. Though two extremes, both very delicious. Service was perfect and your food comes out in a timely manner and as always a memorable meal.

This place is not worth the hype. Everything we ordered from the appetizers to the entrees was either bad or "meh." I think they're trying to do too much, and they're not "good" at anything. The ingredients seem good, but the flavors are off. For my entree, I had the Stewed Chicken Tinga Tacos, and they were just okay. I don't think I'll be back.

I really enjoyed my time here! Food was excellent! Especially the pimento cheese! This is a MUST try! I'm pretty picky when it comes to my pimento cheese, I loved my mother's and I rarely come across someone else's recipe that I like! Service was great! Our waitress was kind, friendly and full of suggestions. The restaurant was full, but quiet and also clean! I had the soup of the day, Poblano chicken was tasted amazing! Homemade and fresh! We tried the biscuits and while we did like them, they were a little too heavy. The kids cheeseburger was very tasty and the fries were nice and crispy on the outside! Also had the Barbados enchiladas and enjoyed every bite! The Migas were also enjoyed! I had the mango habanero margarita, the bartender was a heavy pourer and made this drink EXACTLY the way I like it! Jack Allen's Kitchen did not disappoint and we can wait to go back!

Ask the Community - Jack Allen's Kitchen

Is their pet friendly patio open this week?

They have a narrow outdoor area but unsure if they allow pets.

Do they still have happy hour specials?

Yes, their apps are half off and I believe the drinks are $1 less.

    Any gluten free dishes?

They do. My friend that is GF usually orders salmon. Not sure if they have more than one salmon dish but the one she gets is delicious so if you like salmon you should be good to go!

My friends had glasses of white wine and I tried their holiday gin cocktail which was perfect for me as it was not too sweet. The server helped guide me to that drink choice. My friends had bruschetta, tuna salad, and grilled cheese with soup. We were able to walk in and easily get a table for 4 as it wasn't too busy. However, it started to fill up and it seemed like our server had many other tables because we wouldn't see her for a while and had to wait a bit for some follow up items. Overall a consistent, good time, and they can do separate checks which is great for a party of friends ordering different things!

The outdoor patio, where we sat, was covered and nice, until it started pouring hard outside. Not a super authentic latin restaurant. No complimentary chips and salsa. It opened this past November and I'm so glad we gave it a try. Pro tip, always join the waiting list before you arrive then check in as soon as you get there. I made the rookie mistake of getting on the list when we got there. Boo. So this caused us to have approximately a 40-minute wait. Because this location was booming. It has a huge parking lot and it was full. They do have a really nice outdoor patio waiting seating area as well as an indoor area. If you want the famous TX Roadhouse peanuts, you have to ask the receptionist and she'll give you a bag. Anywho, When we got a text I went to the receptionist and she directed my son and I to stand by the saddle and a hostess would come get us. I noticed they had five pre-staging stations and I guess the saddle was the 6th. That was a little awkward to have us there because it was right by the steak viewing And where the servers would pick up rolls and butter. Not the best place to have guests stand and wait. It took about 10 more minutes for a hostess to come get us and take us to our table. Want seated we were greeted by our server within 5 minutes. And from then on everything worked like clockwork up to the end of our visit when our server seem to be pretty busy so it took a little longer to get refills and togo boxes. Overall it was a great experience in this newer location. It was cool because the restaurant was super bright and I'm used to Texas Roadhouse being a little dim. But they did dim the lights around 7:30 p.m.. The food was consistent quality and delicious. We really liked the new twisted mozzarella sticks. They had a really good flavor and the cheese was cheesin! I always get the same thing, sweet tea, house salad, 8 oz sirloin with the baked potato and veggies. My son got the full rack of ribs with the side of fries and a loaded sweet potato. It was my birthday month and his birthday so they gave us a complimentary appetizer because I was a rewards member and had a coupon. For next visit I know to plan ahead and check in when I'm on my way. I definitely recommend this new location and we will definitely be back.

My husband enjoyed the chicken and waffles and isn't a big eater but it just wasn't a lot of food. It was literally ONE chicken tender divided between ONE waffle. Please see the pic. He said they were heavy on the honey butter and light on the chicken and waffles. This dish didn't come with any sides or other food. 2. Both kids (despite my advice) ordered breakfast. The eggs were ordered over easy and unfortunately they came broken and already runny (pic). The bacon on one was so very very crisp and on the other it was floppy. The hash browns were cooked in so much oil that it felt like you were eating oil - not potatoes. The biscuits were dry. The jalapeño gravy was tasty but we needed a lot more of it to make up for the dry biscuit. 3. Finally, I disliked my food last time which is why we hadn't been back for 4 years but everyone deserves another chanc. Today I ordered off their "specials" menu and got redfish. Redfish is one of my favorite fish so I was excited to try it. When it came I was happy because it was a nice sized portion (see pic). Then I tasted it. It was so fishy and as I picked it apart,I could see it was the blood vein piece. I could not eat it. My teenager is a vacuum and ate it. I then finished our 10 year olds left over eggs breakfast. The green beans under the fish were cooked well. I thought at least I can eat the green beans. Then I took another bite and noticed the SALT. I love my salt. I'm known to salt everything but these were just so so salty I couldn't enjoy them. I did eat them because I was hungry (and later my son's leftover egg dish). The other patios all had a wait.
