I took a new pair of pants to have the hem take up . I was never text or call it was ready. I stop by to see if they were back. and I was told that I had pick them up I had the receipt with then I was told they were sold. After a week or so they found them it was given to some else. Then just recently I toke a pair of pants to be taken in on the sides and it look like who ever did was not a seamstres and they charge 27.00 and they didn't even notiy me they were ready. First, this rating is not based on the two employees at this store. They have always provided excellent service. This review is specifically on the quality of the job Jack Brown cleaners performs on button down shirts. I take my clothing to three dry cleaners. Westbank In Austin A cleaners out of town And Jack Brown cleaners Without a doubt, Jack brown is the worst dry cleaner for button down shirts that I have ever used. Every shirt I have that is button down is returned to me wrinkled. The whole point of me dry cleaning is so that I don't have to iron. I have very few articles of clothing that actually need to be dry cleaned. What is worse is that it seems like the reason that the shirts are returned wrinkled is that the production plant policy is to only button the top button of the shirts. This leads to wrinkles that start from the top button in a diagonal direction to the sides of the shirt based on how the shirt is hangs on the hangar. Additionally, it is apparent to me that the shirts might be TOO damp when pressed. Every cleaner presses the shirts damp - but if a shirt is too damp the ironing wont take and it may wrinkle. The manager at this store was wonderful in sending the shirts back for pressing , but after so many times - it is just really a hassle. I will no longer take any button down shirts to Jack Brown because they don't care about doing a good job - they sacrifice quality for speed and are effectively taking your money for a service they are not providing. I have not had problems with other clothing , but it is much easier for me to just cut them out of my rotation than to deal with multiple trips to get a shirt pressed. This is the worst dry cleaners. They lose your clothes and then they tell you that they can give you money back for your clothes if you provide them with the brand and color. I do not keep track of the brands of my clothes. I just count the number of items and I started doing this consistently when they started losing my clothes. They gave me the number of clothes back but switched a shirt with another customer's shirt to match the number of items. Now I need to start taking pictures of my clothes???? As I drove up, she was very aware of her clients and her customers. I go in there now the ladies on her phone. She gives me bad attitude. She's not happy, she's never smiling. I used Jack Brown Cleaners to dry clean a bamboo comforter which had multiple stains on it. Dropping off and pick up were an easy affair and the representative was polite and knowledgeable. When I picked it up, it was hung on a reinforced hangar and wrapped in plastic. When I got home and checked it out, it was super clean and stain free and looked like I just bought it. We accidentally bought a giant comforter that we are unable to fit in our washing machine. Yes, we found out the hard and messy way. Upon looking for a local cleaner, I didn't do much research. Well, I looked on Yelp and did call one place, but their prices seemed to be a tad high. This Jack Brown cleaners is in the same shopping center as my local HEB which is about 5 minutes from my house. Dry cleaning/Laundering my King size comforter has been running about $24, (I have done this twice) which is an excellent price. They also offer monthly specials - you can't beat that! Every time I drop off my comforter, I am greeted by one of two nice ladies who chat me up and are really friendly and helpful. I am always in and out within moments which I really appreciate. My comforter always smells and looks nice - it is always hung nicely and covered in plastic and looks like a really professional job. I totally recommend this Jack Brown Cleaners - they've never done me wrong and they seem to have competent staff that are kept busy by many people who have also probably discovered that they are not only convenient but a great cleaning service. I contacted corporate with this issue before posting this review. I have received no response, therefore feel others should know about my experience that was not rectified. I recently had an alteration and spot cleaning done at the Cedar Park location near 1431. Basically I dropped my clothes off last Saturday morning and specified the work I wanted done on the alterations and the employee failed to repeat any of it back, and since it was an alteration I felt I should reconfirm with him the work I wanted done so did. When I went to pick up my order this morning, I was charged for three patches when I specifically only asked for two. The third patch that was done was far from the other two and I don't recall any tears there at all. Basically I asked for two patches to be placed on the center butt pockets on the inside to prevent tearing. The material was very weak there. I feel as if my instructions were clear and if the person doing the alterations wanted to add on another patch they should have reached out to me and asked, since it would result in an additional charge. I explained this to the employee who said they were a manager and she told me all she could do was give me 10% off. I asked if that was all she could do to make it right and she said yes. I declined the 10% off since the additional patch was over 7.00 and my order was 32.00. I also feel like she wasn't listening to what I had to say and how it was a problem and how the company could learn from it and prevent any future bad customer experiences. She instead brushed me off. This is inappropriate behavior for any employee, especially one that is in a managerial role. I have experience working in a dry cleaner/alteration company, and understand how issues should be handled. I will never take my business back to Jack Brown Cleaners. read more

This place was terrible I brought a dress in a week ahead of time for a very special occasion out of town. They got it altered so at least the alterations person has it together but when we went in they didn't have it ready because they hadn't cleaned it yet. From the day I moved to Cedar Park from South Carolina, I searched for a cleaner that was both good and had a professional staff. I didn't meet the manager on the first visit but the staff member that was there was excellent. On or about the third visit I met the manager Emily. She took time to learn about my likes and dislike with my clothes. She set me up with a bag for the 24-hour service since I couldn't always make it by 7. The only reason that I am unable to use this store more often is that I have moved. The attendant called me to let me know that they don't clean the covers. That was great. When I went to pick the comforters only one was cleaned along with the cover. The attendant had placed the other in a bag and said, "we don't clean those". The comforter in the bag is match to the one they cleaned. Rather than admit she had made a mistake she started arguing with me. Why would I bring in two comforters and expect only one to be cleaned? They were running a special on cleaning comforters. Well, this was my first order to leave after I moved up here. Never again. They ruined my dress by breaking one of the pull strings. I realized this when I finally unpacked all of the dry cleaning that had been piled up during my move (my bad that I didn't immediately check their work. Lesson learned. Apparently Jack Brown Cleaners in Cedar Park does not care at all about customer service. I dropped off a single shirt on Saturday and when I pulled up, the young guy there was sleeping in a chair. Had to honk several times to wake him. Should have just turned around. When I picked up my shirt today, the young girl was walking around outside on her phone in the parking lot, told me hold on, then took my credit card and receipt out of my hand without saying a word. She got my shirt- all the while leaving the cash register completely open and the side door wide open!! She attempted to open my locked door and stood there annoyed when it wouldn't open- still not saying a word to me- I unlocked it and she put the shirt in, walked inside and got her phone so she could roam the parking lot again. When I got home I realized that my shirt that I have NEVER worn ( it was new out of packaging for work), had ink stains on the sleeve!!! I will be contacting the store to reimburse me for this shirt. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, STARCH STAINS ALL OVER!! Took my work uniform in to this Jack Brown cleaners (1431/Parmer) to have them starched and cleaned, cost me $10. When I picked them up and took them to work to wear at a very important work event, I found they had multiple HUGE WHITE STARCH STAINS ALL OVER my navy blue uniform pants!! When I called Mike the store manager to inform him of the starch stains all over my pants, he questioned me as if I was lying and also said they will not refund my money, he said the best they can do is just "redo them". Obviously, I informed him that I DO NOT TRUST their service and will not take my clothes back to them since they already made a huge mess... The manager refused to refund my money and continued to insinuate I was lying about the stains, and then hung up on me. So, extremely disappointed.... I usually NEVER review places, but I have to warn ANYONE planning on bringing basic, or ANY dry cleaning here.. I brought in all my boyfriend's work clothes. 8 pairs of pants, 7 work shirts, and my 3 white button up work shirts to all get heavy starched. Brought them $115 of service and she complained how many things I had. First red flag!! Should have turned around and left then. It's all pretty basic and simple though, right? Iron and starch it, that's it. Wrong. I came to pick up my clothes about 20 mins after they told me they were ready to be picked up. Got home, and turned right back around and brought them back. I posted pictures above of some of my boyfriends clothes.. Double creased sleeves, 1/2 the clothes were lightly starched, the other half were only ironed a bit, or not ironed AT ALL. 1 shirt was sent back to us BURNT! My shirts were the only ones I brought back in that night because I don't have to work for a couple days and could afford being without them for a few. But they were also the worst BY FAR.... One of my shirts had a pink stain down the entire sleeve!!! Mind you, these were brand new shirts when I brought them in.. One had what looked like mud on it because it would rub off.. There were creases all over the shirt, only one was starched, and I had a triple creased sleeve.. There was no way to wear this shirt and actually look presentable. When I brought them back in, the lady looked them over and was very apologetic. She said she didn't actually work at this JBC, was just filling in for the night, she was nice and helpful, but said I would have to come back in today to talk to the manager.. My cat had a slight accident on my new bedspread. I called Jack Brown Cleaners and they helped me figure out which steps to take first: clean or deodorize because they said cleaning the stain would not remove the cat urine smell. I took the spread in and within two days or so they were done and they were right, the odor was still there! But I was able to treat it with a spray product intended for just such odors and everything came out great! Thanks Jack Brown Cleaners! After calling the store and explaining that we were stuck at the traffic light on Parmer and Whitestone with only a few minutes left before 4:00, the clerk made it clear that she would be locking the doors at 4:00, said that we had two minutes to get there and should make it. That would have been the case if a U-turn was allowed at the intersection but it isn't. We got there at 4:03 p.m. and the door was locked and she glanced at me and just shook her head. She knew we were coming and would be there within minutes and chose to not be helpful. I may have been able to overlook this if it wasn't for the fact that I've encountered unfriendly behavior from this particular store on several occasions. We took our kids' Tae Kwon Do uniforms in as they had some mild soiling, particularly on the white pants. The jackets were in very good shape. When we picked the garments up and got home, we discovered that the pants had NOT been cleaned as we had asked and actually had NEW blue stains all over them, in addition to a new yellow bleach stain - and the original soil was still there, too. I went in to the store and waited while the customer in front of me was complaining about his order being done wrong. I then showed the clerk the new stains and said they needed to be dry cleaned, to which he replied, "Dry cleaned? They should be washed." I said the original soil had not been removed, let alone the NEW stains. He then said that he would have them dry cleaned at no charge, intimating that it was a big deal for him to offer it to me at no charge(!) even though they added NEW stains to the garments. I was getting a bit frustrated and said, "Of course you will have them cleaned again - that is what I paid for." He then stopped talking and handed me the new ticket. I looked at it and asked if they would be back by 6 pm the next day (as printed on the ticket) to which he replied, "Around then." I repeated my question and he replied, "Around then." Clearly mad that I was a bad customer. Huh. This was the first - and last time I ever use that cleaner. They simply do not care about my business. read more

Extremely expensive. I brought in a sleeveless blouse and was shocked that it cost over $10 when I went to pick it up. I had brought in two dresses with me to drop off but I told the woman I would bring them somewhere else because they were too expensive. She then told me that the two dresses would total $14. I had trouble believing this being as one shirt cost 10 so to be completely clear I asked if the total of the two dresses together would be $14 and she said yes. I think I even asked again. She said there was some sort of special going on. Today I go to pick up the dresses and a different woman tells me it will be $28. I was so annoyed. I explained to her what I had been told by the other employee and her response was that the other woman "was new, sorry". I asked to talk to the manager and she said that she was the manager. When I said that I didn't think I should have to pay that amount when I was quoted another price she said she couldn't do anything for me other than give me the number for the corporate office. We paid $40 dollars to have a bed spread cleaned, we got it back happy to see the stain was gone! Until we noticed 3 very large tears throughout. The bed spread looked like someone shredded it. We went up there too see what they could do. All the man did was say his manager would call us in the morning. When the manager called the next day, she was rude. Informed my mom that there was no way they could have possibly ripped it. Then said we needed to come back and fill out a form... I typically do not write reviews but the experience has been so terrible that I feel obligated to notify others. Jack Brown is a chain cleaner. However, none of the location actually clean your clothes. They just pick it up and send to the "factory". I had used them approximately 10 times in the past 6 months and the result varies. Shirts are typically okay. However, sweater & jackets, please take it to somewhere else. They know nothing to clean them. One of my jackets was completely ruined and the other sweater the stain is still there. They asked me to file a compliant but 2+ weeks later and there is no updates at all. To add to the insult, they are keeping my jacket and sweater for "inspection". This is completely BS and ridiculous. It's a shame they are opened for so long and not know how to operate. Since each location is independent agent, they do not seem to care at all. I learned a big lesson. read more

Definitely the worst JBC in the Austin Area. I have been a JBC customer for over 15 years and moved to the Cedar Park area almost one year ago. This store demands a hard copy coupon each and every time I bring cleaning to them (once a week). Even with the discount they are still more expensive than the other cleaners in the area but have confidence in the quality of their services. The other JBC stores I used in the past had great customer service and recognized me as a loyal customer. Star Bright doesn't require a hardcopy coupon nor does Rick's and offer better customer service to boot (JBC fired the best and the most knowledgeable attendant working at the store a few months back. Customer service has not been the same) I say fire the manager and bring customer service to Cedar Park. Love the convenience of the location but loathe the arrogance and lack of customer service. I did have to wait about 5 minutes before a young lady came out from the back somewhere. When I handed her my discount card and payment card--she said she couldn't accept the discount--had to do that when I brought item in. I informed her that I had tried to give the clerk my card when I came in and she said no, we take care of that when you come in to pick up your items. Sooo, they couldn't do it before and the computer won't let her do it when I pick up my items--so obviously they really don't want to let customers use discounts. When I mentioned that their low ratings online were apparently justified she just chuckled. I guess that could be seen as funny--or maybe she was pleased that she accomplished her goal of horrible customer service.
