I'm originally from Texas and that is where my love for Jack in the box came to be. From their curly fries, to buttermilk sauce, to egg rolls and tacos, Jack in the box always has great food to choose from when in a hurry. I have always enjoyed their tacos. Full of fresh lettuce, taco sauce and cheese, these tacos always calm the hunger down for lunch. They are usuallyade to order since they are deep fried. Now adays, they have mini tacos available as well. I currently reside in North Carolina and crave jack in the box tacos form time to time. When I am able to get to this jack in the box I always order the tacos. I was not disappointed. Tacos were fresh, hot, and hot sauce was already in the bag without even asking for it. They also included a decent amount of napkins and a straw for my large cup of water. I came during peak lunch hour and was only two cars away from the ordering speaker and it only took 10 minutes. Hands down the worst location around. They are almost always out of items or so they say. They take FOREVER with every order. They constantly give the wrong orders out and are very very rude about it. Today, for instance, the lady taking orders didn't even know they have the red bull drinks and said she could only find regular flavor red bull. Went to get dinner and first they were out of Tacos for the night on 2/18/2025 which is super strange. They probably just didn't want to clean the fryers. The big black man at the window with dreads that are black then brown did a awful job. When we got to the window we told him we would be paying $11 in cash and the rest on the card. He kept insisting that he was going to run the card first and asked us how much would he like us to run on the card and I said $11 cash and the rest on the card for a reason . Then I told him well I guess $3 on the card since it's $14 like he is the one with the register and couldn't even do a simple job. With a drive thru line of five cars this poor guy has to take the order, then go make it, process our payment, and then go back to take the next order. Pull up to the window and exchange cash for victuals then find a shady part of the world to kill a few minutes. It had been 35 years since my last jitb taco and oh my god how I enjoyed it. I wish I were able to open one up in PA. Extremely rare for me to ever have a 5-Star experience at a fast food restaurant but this one does it. I stop here about once a month when I am in the area and have some time around lunch. Every time the food I get actually looks like it does on the menu photo. The food is hot, order correct and the person at the window is nice. I'll admit I only use the drive-thru so I cannot comment about the interior but the exterior is cared for and obviously cleaned up by staff. I have always been a big fan of Jack N the Box since I lived in California. But this place is pretty weak. The "Cluck": i have not seen this kind of nonsense from a national chain in my memory. The fried chicken patty was literally 90% batter. I cut it open looking for chicken and almost couldn't find any. I drew red arrows pointing to the thin layer of Chicken I finally found in only one section. I literally took the party apart by hand into small pieces looking for more, and couldn't find it. This is what you expect at some rip-off fish and chips in the frozen food section of the grocery or school cafeteria in the 70s. It was like biting into a giant hush puppy. Especially disappointing when all the other fast food places have fried chicken sandwiches that contain actual chicken. Horrible. Curly fries and egg roll are reliably good. They do a good job with their frier. Service tends to be slow there, though probably just middle of the road for Charlotte fast food. I've had slower since moving down here. The burgers here are usually Ok, but don't come in off hours or you'll get something from a warmer. And the produce they use is not always looking bright and fresh. Sodas don't taste like they clean the machines often enough. Disappointing overall for Jack N the Box. I really wanted it to be better. read more

Jack in the Box has a lot of fast food options. And my husband was craving a burger. This isn't the normal chain we go to, but have been doing a lot of drive-thrus with Covid. Being a fan of chicken sandwiches I tried the new Cluck sandwich. It was decent and an improvement over their old chicken sandwich. It was crisp and chicken most on a soft bun. But it lacked in flavor compared to the other chicken sandwiches. I paired mine with curly fries, which apparently are an extra charge now. Service wasn't the greatest. When we got to the window we noticed the total was off. Our order was wrong like they thought I got the cluck deluxe and my husband was missing a sandwich. We eventually got it worked out. First off, there should be an option for zero stars because that is what I would do as well as the many other people who have said this as well in the reviews for this jack in the box! Let me first start off by saying this: Over the past three to four months, I have had horrible experiences every single time. Whether I was in store or ordering from door dash. However last nights experience (10/16/18) was the WORST experience I have ever had anywhere! When I pulled up to the drive through and began ordering the lady was extremely rude, saying "what do you want?" Instead of "What may I get for you?" Or something along those lines! I had to repeat my order 4 or 5 times and because my husband was the one driving and became very annoyed by her attitude, he jumped the gun when she asked if the order was correct on the screen and he quickly replied yes and pulled off before I had the chance to look over the order. When we got to the window, she handed us our drinks and took our card. When I tried to Express to her that I ordered two large drinks instead of a medium and a large, she proceeded to say "well I'm gonna have to refund your card for the medium and charge you for the large" (Normally any restaurant would just change it to a large drink) that is when I attempted to expressed to her that I should not have to pay for an error on her part when I repeated my order so many times she then raised her voice at me and said "I asked you if the order was correct on the screen and you said yes so that is not my problem" and then walked away from the window. That is when we heard her in the back ground saying we were getting on her nerves! When she came back to the window, my husband attempted to ask for her name so we could complain which is when she said "My name is 911" and then proceeded to walk to the front counter by the entrance door to the kitchen and picked up their cordless phone and started to dial 911, came back to the window and my husband asked what she said because we were in total disbelief and she said "I said my name is 911, you can get my name from 911 because they are on their way" which is when we pulled off and left because I am very short tempered and felt as if I were going to have a panic attack. When we got home, our food was cold and they did not even put sauce on my tacos which was disgusting. I also checked my receipt (Doing this I found out her name is Sharon) and found out she charged me for a total of 5- five count mini churros when I only orders 2- five count mini churros. This morning (10/17/18) I attempted to call this Jack in the Box to speak with the general manager, and called 3 times and no one picked up the phone either of the 3 times. So I proceeded to go up to the Jack in the Box, and spoke to a Male shift manager who explained that the general manager was not there (also confirmed her name is sharon and she is a shift manager as well), I gave him my information for her to call me this afternoon when she comes in. I also put in a call to the district manager for this franchise and could not reach him either. It is still early so hopefully I will receive a call back. If I do not hear back, I will make every attempt possible to seek rectification. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS JACK IN THE BOX! DO NOT GO HERE, AND DO NOT ORDER OFF OF DOOR DASH!! I have been to this JITB several times and have always had great service...the people there always give a smile and seem to care and have pride in their work. The last two times I've been through the drive-thru, however, and ach time I've been given the wrong burger!!! I am a HUGE Jack In the Box fan, but I have no idea what the heck happened at this store! So I was driving up from Atlanta, and stopped here at 10:45pm as I was hungry after the long drive and wanted a quick bite to eat to snatch and take to where I was going. Little did I know that between sitting in line and getting the food it would take 35 minutes. Now you can say hey why didn't you just drive off well, they were kinda busy so I was sandwiched in between two cars and couldn't move. I finally got to the window to get ready to order the food and I am told to wait, I waited over 5 minutes before someone finally came back on. I order the late night munchies meal, and my wife got a burger. After waiting for forever we get up to the window and they tell us they are doing a shift change and we have to wait. I mean what the heck is that? I get everyone does a shift change but when it's fast food come on. Funny part is within the 35 minutes no one left nor did any new employees come in at all. So I have no idea what the real problem was. So we pay for the food, and the food wasn't ready. I can see her putting stuff into the bag and she grabs the curly fries with her hand sitting on top of the fries. (As if you'd grab it from the top) No gloves on same hand she had the money in as well. At this time I'm grossed out, she slides the window open and I told her I wanted a new fry because I thought it was nasty that she'd even reach onto it like that and she should have grabbed it from the side. She laughs tells me it's not happening and slams the window shut. By this time I've waited long enough and I'm irritate so I figured "forget it" so I get home which is across the street. First thing I do is grab the fries and I throw them away. I look at the rest of my order to see everything else was messed up. An entire bag of food all wrong, how in the heck does that even happen? The staff could care less about their job, everyone has an attitude problem, and the food here is just gross and not even worth spending money on. This is the worst fast food place to eat at in Charlotte in the Pineville area. I ordered food and within two hours had bad stomach pains. The next day i was vomiting and had terrible diarrhea. I was sitting at the drive thru waiting to order for two minutes, then when we pulled up to the window the lady gave us our drink, closed the window, and WALKED AWAY!
