Store was clean and pretty interesting. Yet, my more than old enough mother tried to buy a bottle of wine because we are on vacation, and they wouldn't sell to her because I was with her. I'm not 21, but I'm very obviously her daughter and wasn't planning on drinking any. They cashier and manager was very rude to us and we ended up leaving without buying anything. read more

So an employee started grilling my friend about her medical service animal. Even though we told them that the dog provided a medical service, the employee continued to block us from shopping and was very rude, asking her to disclose medical information. Very unprofessional and very rude. read more

Have to say, after moving here last October, I am in love with Jack's and their 220,000 items (or so they say in their catalog). Yearly tide books for free, handouts on clam digging events, galoshes and safety vests, fire grates, freshly cut meat, hand-made delicious pizza, and about a zillion type of craft and local beers (BTW, can't swear it's exactly a "zillion", but that's sure what it seems like!). It's an old timey store, with stuff packed to the rafters with everything you need and stuff you didn't even know you needed until you see it (can anyone say "propane-torch-to-burn-off-weeds-in-my-driveway-along-with-a-cart-with-special-wheels-to-go-up-and-down-stairs-to-carry-the-propane-tank-to-fuel-the-torch"?). First night here in Long Beach, we knew everything was going to be closed, hungry went to the local grocery store and got a few things, they do have a Pepsi fountain machine, which was good :) They also have flags from every state in the country hanging, and pretty much anything you need and fair prices. It does close early (around 8pm) but I would recommend this place! read more

This store is really cool. It's like a miniature super store. Everything from groceries to paint. We stop by often and grab our gourmet soda. Their selection is quite large. They also carry a good amount of different jerky and pepperoni sticks. Staff are great and fair prices. read more

Whoa.......what a STORE. I was eating across the street and saw the store. I had to go in and look around. I was not disappointed. I found so many items that were on my list of hard to find items. But what I was looking for was up high.......dusty...and just might fit the bill for something I had been looking for the last 6 months. I needed an open end wrench - no big deal - right.....well this was one over and 1 1/2 or up to 2 inches in size. I also didnt want to have to sell the dog to get this wrench. The prices were very reasonable for such a huge ass wrench that gets used once every other month. I located Jim - asked him if I could take one to my truck and try it out to make sure it fit before i bought it.....he got a couple of wrenches and off we went to my truck. I was wrong on the size.....so back in for a couple more wrenches. Jim turned me over to Lonnie.....he said.......here take the wrenches and you go out and see if they fit. I offered my drivers license to vouch that I wouldnt run off with the wrench. Lonnie declined. After 2 more trips to the truck...I had the right wrench . It was a 1 13/16ths. By trial and error I was able to get the right wrench. Thanks jim and Lonnie for the excellent custormer service. I'd go back there for any hard to find item you might be looking for. read more

This is an experience. You name it, from tools to jewelry Jacks has it. Jacks also has one of THE best selection of Lodge cast iron cooking pots I have ever seen. Some of the kitchen gadgets I've ordered from a well-known catalog was way cheaper here! Can't find them anywhere but here at Jacks! Next time Jacks will be my first stop! Jack's is a cool store located in Ocean Park, Wa. We own recreational property out there and when we visit, we generally go to Jack's for all of our needs. It has much more than groceries, with some cool old skool candies and toys for sale too. They also have a hardware part, gift part, etc. We always enjoy going to Jacks. read more

Jack's is the kind of old-school small town grocery that people used to rely on exclusively before the coming of big chains, and it shows. If you think of it just as the place to get your clamming gear or fishing license, or somewhere to drop off your trash, you're missing a lot of its charm: the selection of weird local foods, the devil-may-care meat counter, the constant bustle, the bizarre charm of a grocery store that has its own catalog, the fact that it has EVERYTHING, from pet supplies to hatchets to Magic: the Gathering cards. I've been coming here for 12 years. Got everything you need, super friendly, great customer service. Oman and Son's is closer to me and occasionally I have gone there only to find them closed early, and when they are open expect a attitude. Completely different at Jacks Country Store. I just bought a remote for a garage door opener there, that's how well supplied this place is. And the hours are great! read more

This place has everything, I even found my favourite brattish candy while shopping for a fishing rod, a light bulb and some milk.

Jack's never ceases to amaze me. I should know by now to go to Jack's first. Digital video tape, tiny Torx screwdrivers, even a milk frother--Jack's always has what I need when I need it. Yes, at Jack's you can find anything, from groceries to nuts and bolts. Their grocery section could use a facelift, some areas are well lit and well stocked, others aren't. Their produce section is small and lackluster, and sometimes a bit confusing to navigate. They excel in customer service and in offering a bit of everything. Good gas prices too! read more

Great place. They have everything you need, including food, household goods, even electronics (I bought an Ethernet cable and a snack too). Very friendly and helpful staff. You can even throw your trash away in the dumpster for a small fee. Downgraded from five to four stars because in spite of the fact that they are a full scale grocer their deli has minimal choices and virtually no vegetarian options. Jack's is the place to go for all your needs! The staff is very friendly and helpful and you can find just about anything you need there. We're starting a small holding and buy and/or order farm supplies there as well as groceries every week. They have a discount system so you get money off on gas and diesel too. They have organic soil for sale as well as toilet paper from 100% recycled paper - something we were used to in Switzerland but can't find here in the USA except at Jack's. There are sections for practically all your needs. I love to look at cards and all the kitchen appliances. They have a large variety of gift items too. They have organic eggs and organic milk... and the best cheddar cheese I've ever tasted. read more
