    Pulled pork plate

This is an old style barbecue restaurant. Service is impeccable. The facility is clean as a pin. Food is high to be one of the top 10 barbecue restaurants in the southeast US and I have to agree this assessment. Pulled pork is some of the best I've had barbecued chicken was so good when I saw it I had to order me. I have chicken. Baked beans are wonderful potato salad is homemade and alsocoleslaw is homemade vinegar slaw. They also have a mayo slaw. It was very good. The barbecue experiences that I've had anywhere. Please give it a try.

My Grandad was born in North Carolina. I've still some got kin back there and after several trips I've fallen in love with the Carolinas. But I betray my Northern roots when it comes to BBQ. To me BBQ is an adjective not a noun. So when you offer it for sale my first thought is barbecued what? Iguana? St. Bernard? Flamingo? And if we agree that it'll be beef or pork the next thing I imagine is ribs. Crispy, meaty, somewhat fatty, ribs slathered in some delicious sauce. The thing I DO NOT imagine is a pile of only mildly flavored, shredded meat on top of the cheapest available, store bought bun. A bun that was in its plastic bag 30 seconds before my sandwich was served to me. That's two ingredients. Two. And one of those came to me in exactly the condition in which it sat on a store shelf days ago. Not warmed or toasted or otherwise improved but just as bland and dull and it was when it was created. In that case ingredient number 2 better rock. It had better sing and shout and cartwheel around my mouth in leaps of joy. But in many places it does not. Sadly this is one of those places. I was hoping for little outpost of culinary joy. Instead I walked away disappointed.

Pulled Pork is very good, slaw is good but I do prefer red slaw like used to be served there many years ago. Their Baked Beans are great.

They no longer smoke the pork out back. The meat is tender but doesn't have the flavor that it used to have. Sad.

Excellent place and great service…read more We needed BBQ on the way to Memphis and this place showed up on Yelp as highly rated. We thought it was a brick and mortar place and were somewhat hesitant when we saw it was a food truck as these are hit or miss. This was a hit. We met the kindest young lady behind the counter who sorta looked like Brittany Spears/Tori Spellman and she was very patient and helpful with us. Even a customer in line gave us ordering suggestions. The employee also informed us of the air conditioned shipping container in the lot that had indoor seating. We chose that as we didn't want to eat in the car and it was air conditioned. Inside it was quite nice for a shipping container. It was wood lined and lots of seating and even a bathroom! For lunch we finally decided on a chopped brisket sandwich and a smoked bologna sandwich which came with sides. I had read about these smoked bologna sandwiches and people said to give them a shot. I did and am still not impressed although they are a damn sight better than the Oscar Mayer ones I grew up with (yuck!). There was nothing wrong with it, I just would rather have brisket, pork or ribs instead. The sides were very good as well. I loved the BBQ baked beans and the vinegar slaw. I also had the tater salad. After eating we ended up buying a bottle of their BBQ sauce to take home for later. During our meal, the owner, Mitch, stopped in the shipping container area and was kind and charming. He told us about the business and about the hickory wood he uses for smoking and it's benefits. We also discussed the shipping container buildup and how great it looked. We encouraged Mitch to expand if possible as his food and ambiance was top notch. I was really impressed by Hunt's Tennessee BBQ. I would definitely return here again and try the other items as well.

Food was delicious! Different options on different days so just check ahead of time. We will…read moredefinitely be back for more!
