2nd time at Jacks. Went to see the Knicks win the chip. Place was already crowded but not overwhelming an hour before game time with World Cup fans there to watch Brazil vs. Morocco. So the atmosphere was already lively. There was 8 of us at the table. Our server was great! Wish I got her name to give a shout out. All through the night we never said "where is she?" She was very attentive and kept the drinks flowing and the food coming. Pizza was great. Wings were great. Chicken nachos were ok. Stopped into Jack's Goal Line Stand in Long Branch, NJ for lunch and it ended up being the perfect choice. I went with the Steak Bite Lettuce Wraps ($18). It had blackened steak bites, fresh pico, and cheddar jack cheese, served inside crispy lettuce wraps with a side of their special rice. It was flavorful, however the juices were a little messy, but worth it. I also ordered the Spicy Cheeseburger Nachos ($19) to share. Good seasoning on the beef with jalapeños and onions, but note that it didn't come with sour cream or guac like traditional nachos but the cheese was layed. I washed everything down with a diet coke ($3.50). Service was ok, a little slow and it wasn't that busy. But no real complaints. The inside was huge and was a nice bar area and seating area in the back large enough for a dance floor. I have no doubt this place gets back. All of the beers I tried when I came were delicious. Beer lover or not, make sure you try the Downeast Cider House Mango Peach. It was soooooooooo good. Both of my homies tried it and loved it. The food here wasn't bad at all. I ordered a taco salad, which was pretty good. My friend ordered the Buffalo chicken dip, and that was pretty good, too. The service wasn't bad, but it definitely could've been better. Our waitress would take a while to come back to our table so we couldn't order things in a timely fashion. She was nice, though. This place gives off large bar vibes. The music could definitely also be better. If it was, I feel like the vibe would've been better, too. Didn't realize how close to Monmouth University this is. Doesn't look as big from the front, there are two bars and TV everywhere, there is no bad seats. Good looking bar. Love the claw machines.. the duck machine was broken. Wait staff very friendly . Lots of families with kids and it is easy to understand why. The food is not the typical bar food. Pizza very tasty. Grande cheese, flavorful sauce and the crust and dough is full of flavor. The Hamburgers are amazing, you gave a choice of shoestring or regular fries . The shoestring fries are really good. It's whatever your preference is. Chicken parm sandwich is one of the best I have had. It is thick, moist and tasty. I've had bad bar sandwiches a thin piece of dry chicken . This place rocks !! Too bad I'm not local, this would be my go to place !! Portion sizes are tremendous !! Bathroom is a bit small , I don't pick a resturant based on their bathroom. Been meaning to visit this place for a while now, as I have not been here since it was Jack's Rib and Ale House. Was with friends after a service and I suggested we stop here and thankfully they agreed. After a few of my favorite places closed up for good, I've been looking for a new spot for great bar food and I believe I've found it. We had to wait quite a while for our food and luckily, since we haven't seen each other in a while, we had lots to talk about, but casual friends or family who see each other often may have had a problem with the extensive wait for our food to come out. I believe there may have been only one cook and the wait staff and servers were very young, and this maybe among their fist jobs, so the orders may not have been taken in the right order, which is why tables that came in later may have been served first. Once the food arrived the gripes about the wait quickly disappeared. The food was great and the apps are a meal in themselves. Prices are totally in control for what you get. Lots of craft on tap. We all had something different, so I had a chance to see a lot of great food and can't wait to try more. "Goal Line" wings were great. With two full bars and a large dining area, I'm sure this place can get packed as it was pretty busy for a Mon. evening. I'm imagining it's quite loud during football season.
