Do not go to Jack's towing in Lowell extremely unprofessional to come 10 hours to come to my vehicle yesterday, but they kept promising me. I paid soon as i booked it and was promised multiple times It would only be 90 to 60 minutes every time I called every time I called I was supposed to get a call from the Driver he failed to even acknowledge me by the time I got on hold with him he caught a nasty attitude with me because" it's not his fault his dispatcher overbooked him." Worst towing company that I have ever dealt with!! Never let them tow your vehicle to their lot. I have managed 90 vehicles for my company for 16 years, needless to say I have had some experience. One of our vehicles was totaled in an accident the police called Jack's to tow it away. Once they have your vehicle you are at their mercy. They would not let us get our equipment out of the vehicle without paying $75, which I have never heard of. Then when the insurance company wanted to pick up the vehicle they would not release it without me driving to their location to sign a release, never had to do that before either. Do not go to their location alone!! It is the scariest, nastiest, should be condemned place that I have ever been. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. This company is CROOKED and LAZY. They require "cash only" though they advertise accepting credit card. They charged me $800 when they had my car LESS that 10 hours. The company's business hours are 8AM-5PM Monday through Friday. I called at 8:15AM and was greeted by a man with a horrible attitude who began yelling at me. He was telling me I just woke him up and that i will have to call back at 9 when they open. When i questioned the tow yards hours being 8AM to 5PM, he got even more mad at me. They require you to schedule an appointment before you can even pick your car up, but yet nobody answers the phone to schedule the appointment. People just want to get there car back and this company makes it impossible ON PURPOSE. read more

Got my truck after loosing key in store wasn't even 12 hours later truck was already towed and I was calling them that's when I was told it would be $1264 to get truck back and that 800 tow, $75, fuel fee, $75 lot entry fee, storage(that's not legal in first 12 HRS by tow company storing anyone's vehicle) then I go to get my property and talk to them they then tell me it's $2600 something like excuse me that has my bike and all my business property on it which was well over $12,000 dollars on it! oh then said I'd have to come back they was closing that day for parade but like me leave a key HECK NO! not to mention I had just replace the brakes and rotors, battery, tires and shocks, had the engine rebuilt and ign just replaced which my brother had passed away and he was the last one who drove it and I didnt get to get the key back for my fathers truck (oh yeah I forget to mention that it was my 70 year old Stage 3 kidney failure diag with a cancerous mass on stomach lining truck that I was doing as a surprise to him and only drove it that night because need to figure out the lights front and rear, oh and the starter situation where my brother yanked the wiring from underneath the steering column! but now they say it's not there anymore but I bet this isn't this one thing I'm going to do about this I'm going to try everything in my power and everything the authorities have to get this place closed and reimbursed for everything in and on the back of that truck since I can't even move 3 other vehicles because my rims and tires was on the top of the tarps on that truck Just look at all your reviews read more

DO NOT EVER use this place. Terrible people working there. Incorrect quotes on getting vehicles back. Refusing to give car back to the owner 3 different times throughout 30 days. We've come up there multiple times to get our car back. Was originally quoted $250 for it being towed due to a flat tire. Then was quoted $725 to be towed?? Are you joking? $725 was not said to begin with. $250 was. Now it's $1200?? Company does not go by what their website says. These people are just absolute SCAMS. Over the weekend two of our cars were illegally towed. We called and the tow truck driver refused to release any information stating to us that our cars were there. They refused to let us come and get our wallets and keys out of our cars, and said that they wouldn't release them until 8am Monday morning. How does a 24 hour company not work 24 hours? Horrible company. The lady we talked to was very rude and very unhelpful. Long story short our RVs breaks went out in Cramerton and we were forced to block traffic or run into moving traffic. Of course with me and my husband we were thinking clearly what the best decision would be. So we blocked off traffic to minimize damages and accidents. The cops recommended Jack's and they wanted to charge us $500 to tow it 30 feet to a garage. When we expressed this concern to her she told us that we could leave our RV in the middle of the road and the cops could take possession of the vehicle and hung up the phone. After sending her guy out hoping that the police would tell him to get it out of there. The Cramerton police really had our backs. I would not recommend this service to anyone. We got Gastonia towing to help us with a much cheaper quote and they were there in less than 15 minutes. read more

Towed my Son's car on Jan. 9th 2024. He had a flat in rain. Went to home by friend for 4 hours, came back and it was towed to Jack's. They wanted $250 for the tow. Son's Fiances dad owns the car per registration. They will only release it to him. My Son did not go back till Feb. 6th to get it with the owner and they want $1200. There sign says after 10 days a $25 a day storage fee starts. 18 x 25 = $450 plus $250 for tow. This only equals $700. This place is trying to take advantage of my Son. He had to wait to save the $250 for tow, which is outrageous anyway. He was also asking questions about the high charges and the lady at desk said to leave or she was calling police for tresspassing. She would not even explain what the charges were for. On phone she says $750 earlier till they got there and then it's $1200 with no explanation, but only she says to come back with police. I called our roadside assistance comoany when my car broke down at night on the side of the road and they dispatched Jack's Towing and Recovery - they said 30 minutes to arrival -I called 45 minutes later and Jack's said 30-40 minutes - 2 and a half hours later no show - wouldn't answer calls from the roadside assistance company or me. Worst humans on the planet. No stars. Didn't have a choice to work with them, if that is what you call it. Had a wreck around midnight so Belmont PD towed to their vendor on rotation. Spent all day the next day in the ER, just barely missed the open hours and pleaded for mercy to retrieve a document in my car to start the claim process, this was a Friday. Returned on Monday around 4:30 after just speaking with someone that was "there". Get there and he left for the day, so with frustration I called him out over the phone and dude spoke to me like one of his little freakin kids. SMH, I used some carefully choice words and hung up. Ended up having to get power of attorney and even then they wouldn't release it w/o a notary, not required in NC [another full business day passes]. GEICO has filed multiple complaints on this location, gee I wonder why. I can see here that most reviews are trash on Yelp. My minivan was literally at a 45 degree angle in a ditch and I had tried calling multiple 24 hour wrecker services and at 3am these guys...my heroes and saviors...and not too bad in the eyes...gentlemen showed up on time and had it out the ditch before I could get there and I only live 5 minutes away from where it was. Anyways the best tow truck/wrecker service company EVER and they made sure it was still driveable before they left me. Thank God for good people that keep their word and know what they're doing. This place saved my life on September 9, 2017. Well, not really, but bloody well close. I live in the D.C. area and was in transit to Clemson for a football game when my Civic conked out. Recruiting a tow through AAA proved a monumental task - my first driver agreed to transport me 150 miles to my hometown, but then changed his mind immediately after putting my car on the truck - until Kermit emerged like The Dark Knight to save the day. He showed up to get me at 10pm - after I had spent some 5 hours attempting to secure a proper tow through AAA - and whisked me to Bristol, Tenn., with no trouble and no questions asked. He was professional, polite and carefree. He was upfront about the fee and outstanding company on the drive. This was, eh, probably the fifth or sixth worst day of my life. Horrible business management. If I could leave no stars I defiantly would! My RV got picked up off the side of the road due to a busted tire and took to Jacks Towning until I was able to retrieve it. I got there around 6:00pm called ahead giving they're closed at 5:00pm and let them know my ETA. Upon arrival I am greeted by a man by the name of Marshall, Marshall let's me know I need registration and valid drivers license. Okay no problem. (Mind you I'm out of town) I give him the things, he stated my registration was out of date, but my tag was in date. He then got a rotation call and had to leave, and told me to get off his property because I was now trespassing.. told me to come back at 8:30 with cash only now asking triple what the charge should of been. They illegally towed my Penske truck. They tried to charge me $1500 for a 17 mile tow. They used a regular tow truck to tow a commercial truck. The police had to force them to release my truck. I have used Jacks Towing personally three times, and referred friends that owned Trucks to their Tow service, but today, was the absolutely lowest and last time, I will use their service. Marshall, Shawn, Rhonda, were absolutely the most unprofessional group of people, I care to do business with. I scheduled an appointment yesterday with a proceeding phone call. No word from Jacks Towing, when I finally called. They agreed to pick up my truck today, with direct pick up address and drop address. Today, after, hooking my Truck the price for the exact same drop was $150 more money, with loads of curse words and threats of impounding my Truck and holding it hostage. Do not use Jack's Towing. They are other reputable Tow Companies in Charlotte, area. I will use Hunter's Towing in the future. I put this out for the Community not be overcharged and taken advantage of today as I was.
