Not a bad deal! The people are friendly, the locker rooms are spacious and clean, and the pool is perfectly-heated. It's a great temperature for lap swimming or just playing around. In addition to the pool, there are basketball courts and an indoor track. The South Portland Community Center is a great local resource, and I'm very glad I've started taking advantage of it. If you live in the area, I suggest you do too! Just don't everybody come at once, because the pool can get pretty crowded during lap swim.

The house is furnished with period pieces and there is a docent available to answer questions. It's a nice stop to get out and stretch your legs, learn a little history and enjoy a beautiful day. There is something seriously wrong with this office. Kim would not answer questions that I had…read moreabout a letter I received she just printed off the letter again and made me file an appeal and waiver. When I asked for caseworker that works in the back office that I've been talking to over the phone she said she would and I should get a new number. I get a new number and a guy named Rob calls me over. I've dealt with a lot of customer service agents in my life but I have never met a person as rude as him. All he did was talk down to me and then look upset when I had a question. He eventually told me a new letter was sent out that answered all of my questions he printed it out. I asked why Kim didn't look into this and just made me file a bunch of paperwork I didn't need to file. He stated it was because how I asked the questions and said they didn't like my tone. He even said, I cant find the words small enough for you to understand. I asked him if I could talk to a supervisor or manager he said he has lots of supervisors and just stares at me, then he says to answer your question though no you can't talk to anyone. They never talked to the case worker but they did get in touch with security to "help me find the door". Mind you I kept my composure the entire time didn't say all the words I wanted to say. So what I'm gathering from that office is they want to do as little as possible while making things as hard as possible, let you get a little upset and then kick you out. The security guy gave me a number where I can file a complaint it was their number but for some reason I was getting answering service for DIRECTV that sounded like a scam and another one about a Life Alert promotion. The third time I dialed with *67 and asked me to repeat a code and I actually got in touch with the office. Just weird, and makes me believe they rerouted my calls to a scam number.

I recommend coming in on the regular entrance, unless it is full then there is additional parking at the next entrance, although then there are a bunch of stairs to go up. I have been to social security office in Saco on a few…read more occasions over the years. I have never reviewed them before until now. On Monday we walked in to find a packed room full of people patiently waiting. The security officer James suggested we come back on Thursday typically a slow day. James happens to be the nicest person I have ever encountered. Not only is he nice but he offers to help everyone who walks in with a geniune smile & kind words. So we arrive back to SS on Thursday. There to greet us was James. As usual he's his same cordial self. Sure enough we had only a short wait. Our # 's were called & Nancy waited on us. There must be something in the drinking water that makes the employees extra pleasant. Kudos to the social security office in Saco Maine!!!
