Very slow to respond. On top of this- I filed the soonest I could so there was plenty of time to get this completed on their end. The following year- my fees were still in my IRS account and ended up being taken out of my next tax return. They promised they'd still continue to work on this with the IRS and get those late fees back since it was their fault to begin with. However, after this promise I was completely ghosted. I would recommend going anywhere else if you expect your taxes to get done on time and with proper communication. I've had much better luck using TurboTax!

I had a nasty and costly experience with CB Accounting. In 2025 I received a letter from the IRS…read morequestioning my 2023 tax return. Since I was not sure what the IRS was questioning, I hired CB Accounting to review the IRS's letter, my tax 2023 tax return and let me know what corrections if any were needed. They said there was a small error in my 2023 return, that the error did not really change anything, I did not owe any taxes and all that was needed was for them to file an amended return which they did. Well, this year I got another letter from the IRS disallowing the amended return CB Accounting had filed and it listed taxes owed with interest and penalties added. I took the IRS letter I received this year to CB accounting to find out what was going on and what I should do, the person who had filed my amended return last year was gone and the person I had my appointment with this year never got back to me. I made a new appointment with the manager who had no idea of what had been done last year, I felt like I was trying to get a straight forward answer from a politician and ended up in a fruitless nonsensical discussion of he said she said that got me nowhere. Basically, I have made five 120-mile round trips to CB Accountings office and paid them hundreds of dollars to end up supposedly owing more money to the IRS than I did a year ago...not a happy experience to say the least, beware.
