I don't usually write reviews, but hoping I can save 1 person from the awful experience I had. My first impression was the receptionist who could barely look away from her phone to greet a client. She collected my information and walked away. I had no idea if I was waiting for someone (I had an appt.) or if they were working on entering the information or what. She had no mask on, but since she was behind a sliding window, I overlooked it. Note that the front door had signage showing their COVID protocols including that all employees were required to wear a mask. Almost 45 min later, I was called back by another employee, not wearing a mask. I should have left at that point. I witnessed 4 different employees and not a single one had a mask anywhere in sight. The person who completed my taxes made changes to the numbers I gave him without my consent which I did not discover until after the forms were filed. They used my electronic signature on multiple documents without my consent, including consent to receive marketing phone calls and text messages. Called the national customer care line, which took over 3 hours to get a call back, was referred back to the local manager, 'Craig' who was condescending and dismissive regarding my concerns about the behavior of my tax preparer, and seemed basically proud that no employees wore masks. And I paid $450 for this "service" for an uncomplicated return. Save yourself a great deal of stress. Go to another company or even a local professional. It would have been cheaper and no doubt professional and ethical. read more
